Also I was dropped from the Ultros GAF Company due to my inactivity but have reapplied now that I am resubscribed and back at it, is there still room in it?
Are you talking about their group or the game in general?
You're in.
I'll have a ninja and warrior to 50 by this weekend.
Used to be, when you bought a Fantasia it went to all of your characters, right? Kinda shitty that now it only goes to one.
Well someone's gotta pay for Rise of the Tomb Raider not selling 15 million units on Xbox One.

If you're on PS4 you don't, unless other people are parsing and share data.

Why are you still doing that to yourself? Two double mooches in a half hour and to catch the second fish you have to catch a big fish.

Ixal quests requiring fishing are like the bane of my life.

One question guys. I just hit level 50 on my Dragoon and I have a lot of fun playing that job. I admit that I went into this game rather blind and just chose the class which I liked the most. When trying to find some info on how to approach the endgame content, I saw a lot people saying that DRG is rather useless for endgame content in comparison to other dps classes which is a bit disappointing.
So how bad is it really?

Are the mooched fish providing cues via animation or sound? Then you can just lose bait when it's the not the shit you want and move on with your life.
If you learn to master your rotation, any dps class is fine for endgame contents.
Not that bad. Yes their DPS isn't as good as other melee classes but they aren't useless. Learn the job and you can still pull your own weight during endgame encounters.

DRG are lagging behind the other melee classes, but unless you're in some cutting edge progression group or whatever they're perfectly fine.

Thanks for your comments. I think will stick with DRG for now. I am using the rotation from the Dragoon thread linked in the OP as a guide line at the moment and although it's rather complex I am trying to get the hang of it.
Don't use that. All that OP stuff is garbage now.
Search FFXIV reddit or youtube for rotation videos, especially 2.4 videos, as certain jump timings were changed.

oh okay.. I'll do that then. Thanks!

It's properly English for Scything.

While you can go do that, all you'll find is more Rotation Reborn setups with more Jumps used. It doesn't change the fundamental concept behind the DRG rotation, you just hit oGCDs more often.

Question, as I never played ranged, what's the range of using a poison pot. i.e. does the healer need to run up to the boss to apply it?
Fortunately, someone today just posted a new John Madden Rotation for 2.4 Dragoon:

So going off of what studyguy said, the only realistic time all the ranged would use it on T10 is when we are burning the boss to knock him out of electro charge after each set of adds.
Are we sure this is the 2.4 rotation? It Doesn't look any different from the 2.1-2.3 rotation.

Is the theme music for turn 12 Phoenix unique or does it appear somewhere else? It sounds familiar.
