A friend of mine bought ARR for ps4 off eBay and is claiming it didn't have a registration code? Is that for real? I didn't get mine physical.
Is there a solution?

You can only login if you have the retail version of XIV registered your SE account. It's more like a short come back campaign than a free trial.

Phew, took some work, and it was shaky for the last level due to constant disconnects but finally I have

Sastasha HM was 37% for 1 run on ilv 90 HQ gear with no melds. Snowcloak was 34% on same gear. Sunken Temple HM wax 35%. Either way 3 Daily Expert Roulettes :)

Two BLM's can burn through the Snowcloak pulls with ease, or any job with good aoe damage. That dungeon always goes pretty fast for me.

I heard from a friend that Square is working on allowing people to change their characters name, any truth to this? Would really like a more gender neutral name so I can use my fantasia potions to change sex if I want.

Yeah but if it was one run faster, it could sort of make up for it. But at the same rate as the others, just not even remotely close to worth it with randoms every time.

Figures. Well, 3 runs per doesn't seem bad at all then for full i90 sets.

Yup. Even without a full speedrun setup sort of group I can still manage sub-20m on Snowcloak usually.

For crafters who got to 50, did you also level a gathering class along the way to get the materials you needed, or did you just buy everything off the market board?

Speaking of crafting, going to abandon all battle classes and only craft and gather until I upgrade. PS3 version feels too limiting in battles sometimes, time to take it easy ~ ~

I leveled my gatherer's first before I started crafting. If you got the money you can just buy the stuff, also remember if you have to buy more than what you need, you can just sell the excess materials

My group downed T9 today 5 times. We're gearing ourselves before attempting T10; so far only our MNK has his i115 weap. Other drops were SCH x2 (I'm SCH main but I already have Nexus, PLD and BRD for a pick up.

It's nice to be able to farm something that just a few wewks ago was a nightmare for us. Everyone plays more relaxed and things go smoother.

So regarding Ninja gearing, I understand that DEX affects the dual blades.

However, what affects your Ninjutsu damage? Is it also affected by DEX?

All Ninja dmg is affected by dex, it's just one of those things that didn't make much sense since it's a melee class and yet it uses the ranged stat that they had to revamp.

I see. I can enjoy doing the same crafting levequest over and over again, synthesizing the same item one by one, but walking a few feet to mash a button every couple of seconds doesn't grab my attention. XP rewards also seem to be lower which makes it a chore to level.

Still, my goal since day one was to get miner to 50, so I'll get it done someday...

yea it just comes down to whether you have the money to buy the materials or not. Especially if you end up needing hq materials. Try and do the grand company turn ins. They give a good amt of exp for hq materials/items, so leveling up crafter/gatherer isn't as bad.

What was your SMN and BRD's damage in your T10 clear?

Our DPS is slightly too low right now and hitting hard enrage, especially when people die. So I need to try to figure out differences and how we can improve it.

EDIT - or you do 2 BLM's? What is your MNK and BLM damage as well?

Alright cool! I was just double checking because the tooltip only mentions dual blade damage, with no mention of Ninjutsu.

Also, goddamn this class is complicated. I got all of the Ninjutsu at 45 last night and it really is hard to get my head around it all. I got used to the Mudra sequences pretty quickly, but still not sure what the ideal rotation is going to be.

It is definitely the hardest DPS class as far as execution is concerned IMO.

I will hit 50 tonight and then start working on gearing the class up.

Our party make up is Bard, BLM, SMN, Ninja for DPS. I believe all of us are over 400 dps during that fight. You pretty much cannot die in current gear or you will hit enrage.

We're averaging:

MNK - 420-430
BLM - 380-400
SMN - 330-360
BRD - 300-330

Confirmed 100% ACC and all with i115 weapons.

Was that 400 DPS previous to a bunch of you buying i110 crafted gear?

Yeah your bard and SMN seem a bit on the low side. Make sure everyone is using potions too. Skoje can do Foes several times in that fight as well.
