FATE's, Hunting Log, Guildhest, and the Challenge Log (make sure you unlock this) should be enough to get you to 15 at which point you can add dungeons and Low Level Duty Roulette to the mix.

There's also the rested XP bonus for logging off in a town or inn so make sure to do that.

If youve already filled out the application on guildworks you just need to reapply in game.

50% bonus exp if your current job is lower than your highest.

to Alena
to get my current static position.

It's okay, I wasn't using it anyway. At least...I don't think I was. It's difficult to say either way since I'm now a soul-less husk.

from what I've found basically the only way to get a static in GAF right now is to hope you can gather enough people to make one or be thirsty enough if an opening comes up once in a blue moon

the latter worked for me

Yeah, to be serious about it, there's probably a bunch of people with clears of T9 now that new statics could be made but I have no idea. I know that one new group popped up but not sure if they've really run anything yet?

Best bet is to keep your eye on Party Finder I suppose. I still occasionally see people trying to fill spots at least temporarily so you can bank on that + weekly pugs as far as getting FCoB experience now.

I think it's less about finding people with Turn 9 clears, more about finding folks who will put in the time, commitment and all that goes into being part of a static. There is a real need in that department.

I think it's sort of difficult to dedicate time to a single game for a long time especially when games that people want to play consistently come out.

I had the hardest time find a static a while back ago. Come expansion, I need to change that.

The thought only occurred to me after queuing for yet another shiva pony farm and realizing that fcob is the only piece of content that I haven't seen yet.

I ran WAR in Cutter's Cry today.

I think it will be my main tanking job after it's fully leveled.

The fact that you can do more than 1-2-3 makes a big difference towards my enjoyment for tanking plus it has more active damage abilities.

I will consider playing PLD more if Heavensward gives PLD's more than one rotation.

I can't get behind the belief that because the PLD is the simpler tank that it should be boring as shit.

EDIT: Will be converting to Au Ra when the expansion hits.

How DPSish can a warrior be? is there such a thing as a DPS warrior? what if you focus on strength?

Thematically, warriors look capable of DPS because they use a giant two handed axe. That said, they seem to merely be tanks in the game.

you can dps as a tank in general. scy can give you the exact numbers, but they both can put out 400+ jps if you have the right gear and know what you're doing

The GAF guildwork site worked twice for me finding a static. There used to be a thread for people looking to form statics. Unfortunately no one really goes to those forums any more it seems like. It's neogaf.guildwork.com if anyone is interested.

I proudly and openly admit to wishing death upon the mothers of people I don't like
36 runs to get the zodiac drop from Dzemael if I didn't miscount. By far the worst run on a dungeon I've had so far during this quest.

Only 5 more dungeons left to go. I've got an FC mate working on crafting me all the hand-ins. I feel like I'm at the home stretch finally.

While that is true, it's a bit misleading, as an actual DPS class in same level of gear/skill can be pulling 500-600+

So yeah, a tank can dps sure, but it's never going to compete with an actual dps class. Your main job is still to tank, and if you don't need to be tanking at all then it makes more sense for you to be replaced with another dps.

Yeah. A tank can "do damage" but it's still going to pale a bit in comparison. That said, it's not going to be "expect to do 10-20% the DPS of everyone else" but closer to 50%+ as possible.

But, yeah, it's not like you'll be able to go in as a DPS instead of a Tank. You'll still be tanking. It's just that you can do damage while still tanking instead of doing nothing.

I didn't even bother getting my 15 tournament matches last week. Won like 4 of them and had 0 losses too, but then I realized I had no chance of getting top 3 because the people I played didn't give me enough points.

They really need to have a matchmaking system.

It was still worth it to keep playing, there was a 10k reward for placing in top 20, which was not really that hard even if you only played NPCs. (dead server)

Matchmaking wouldn't go far enough based on how the points awarded, they'd need to revamp that too or else it would come down largely to luck based on who it matched you against.

I leveled a Maurauder to 15 today in probably 6 hours or so by doing the Hunting Log and then doing any FATES that would pop as I was looking for targets. I think I had to do a few Levequests to finish it off but it got me most of the way there in a pretty quick time frame. After 15 you can run the shit out of some dungeons and that'll let you level at a nice clip.

I could not be bothered with the tournament so I only did, like, two matches--which was fine by me, since you still get 1k MGP regardless. Did anybody register and play no matches? If you don't even have to play, entering the tournament is pretty much a no-brainer.


Unrelated and completely random, but I found myself really wishing the PS4 had those pressure sensitive buttons the PS2 had so I could convince myself smashing buttons harder forced more damage come out out, instead of just making my controller creak. I'm not going to stop doing it, I'd just like to pretend it's not pointless.

Based on the few times I've left my mic open, I apparently sound like I absolutely manhandle my keyboard.

I need to get a mechanical keyboard with silent(-ish) switches apparently.

Whoever plays the character who withdrew their app yesterday; the only reason we didn't accept your app was because we needed a guildworks one as well (presumably last time you were in the FC we didn't have that). If you found a better FC, that's fine, just making sure you knew it wasn't some bizarre hatred on Drama's part (it was Bara)
