Our loot is pretty diverse in general, with the ungodly exception of Turn 13. I think our tanks still haven't seen a tank body (they've been clearing a couple of weeks before me), and that chest only has 7 pieces in it, the lowest in the game!

If they did 24 hour maintenance for some of the big patches, there's going to be a looooong maintenance for Heavensward, huh?

Logitech G600, (mouse) and Audio-Technica ATH-M50x (headphones, no mic) If you want a mic attached, Sennheiser PC 350/360 or SteelSeries Siberia v2

That probably depends on whether there's any large-scale backend changes. Largest recent maintenance was for additional data space for housing. I'm more worried that Early Access period is gonna be maintenance central.

Leveled up like 10 times yesterday with the vast majority of the races being against CPU. Some of the AI are absolute assholes.

I use a Logitech G700 and for the headset I use Astro A40s. They're awesome.

We have quite a few european players on Ultros, but if you're looking at endgame raiding eventually you might want to try the EU servers proper- there's a couple of GAF EU groups but they're full and haven't really seen too many on the rest of the server.

There are a few people that play on EU servers that post here but I think most of us are on NA servers.

It doesn't matter too much right now though. EU and NA servers are hosted in the same place, so you can pick whatever you want. But to be honest, I'm from the UK and don't notice too much issues these days while playing on Ultros.

I shared this story with my linkshell already, but a few days ago when I loaded into a duty finder group, one of them said they used to play with someone with the same name as mine. I looked at the names and one of them was my old FFXI guild leader from 10 years ago (we played 1.0 together as well). So I said duh, because I'm the same person. I just bought this one last week, and other than having to get accustomed to it being a bit shorter than my last (I also own a DeathAdder for FPSs), it's been fantastic. My rotation feels infinitely more fluid now. It's also really well priced by comparison to Logitech and Razer, despite being very close in quality.

The game will be getting DirectX 11 support right around when Heavensward launches, so there will be a bump in quality. But, the game looks really good right now as it is. The bump won't be mind-bending or anything. What you saw in the trailer is close to what it looks like now.

The game will be getting DirectX 11 support right around when Heavensward launches, so there will be a bump in quality. But, the game looks really good right now as it is. The bump won't be mind-bending or anything. What you saw in the trailer is close to what it looks like now.

Minus the flying, of course, which adds a sense of scale that isn't nearly as present in the current areas, though some of them capture the feeling adequately(the burning wall for example).

But yeah technically, game's more or less already like that, it looks gorgeous in many many places and it's a visual treat to explore. More colorful though, the Heavensward trailer thing has the saturation to like half of what the game looks like for whatever reason. I guess dark/gritty means remove all the colors of the colorful stuff or something.

I've come to the conclusion that coil just isn't gonna work for me. I've been stuck on T9 for months and every single party is the same thing either rage quits if it isn't a one shot, rage quits in general or people just can't grasp the meteor/golem portion of this fight.

I've tried putting together statics, joining statics, PF and DF and it's pretty much hopeless at this point and I'm so burnt out from trying. 90% of DF can barely make it to the golems. I think I'm just gonna skip coil and wait for Alexander and start on that right away.

Anyways I wanted to ask something about Square's One-Time Password and Authenticator app for smartphones. I'm currently running without one as I had bad experiences with Blizzards WoW smartphone authenticator years back. Basically my iPhone 3G on iOS 3.x was running a bit wonky from my jailbreak after I messed something up and I decided to start over. After painstakingly backing up everything I started the restore and realized "**** I forgot to unlink the authenticator!" and I needed to go through Blizzards customer-service which wasn't very nice about it but in the end gave me my account back

So I fear my occasional silliness might screw me over someday again with FF14's authenticator but my friends told me you get some sort of master reset code for cases like this? I think I asked this briefly already earlier in the thread but if so, how does it work? Let's say something similar happens to my current phone and I lose access to the authenticator, I can use my previously noted master reset code to unlink my authenticator just with my password and without calling Square?

I ask because now that I own the game on PC and PS4 Square asks me to change my password every time I take my PS4 to friends and want to log-on to check things and I heard using a authenticator would make them a bit more lenient on multi-IP logins.
