Sorry to anyone I might've pissed off. I'm just salty about the armor thing.

I probably wouldn't be as salty if I hadn't found out about it less than 12 hours before early access, but hey :p lol

Man, so glad i was able to get a refund for Heavensward through Steam. :) Got it through GMG since my mog account wont accept the code there. Was able to register it. :D

My phone has been on hold for support for over 2 hours now (to see if I can just pay for my account to be subbed for 270 days). WTF, the expansion isn't even up yet -_- so good luck getting any help if you have any issues tomorrow with your account.

The new crafting abilities are going to be a real handful to figure out, but I kind of like how it looks like they are making some of the cross-class skills unnecessary.

You know my pain! I also work on Saturday, and Sunday's Father's day so I'm gonna spend time with the family. I'll finally have some uninterrupted time with the game on Tuesday, which is ironic.

Wait, how are people pre-loading? I did the initial 4gig update or whatever, but people were saying there was something bigger?

EDIT: Never mind. It looks like I was attempting to redeem it in the wrong place. I'm still not entirely sure I have access to Heavensward though. This process is a bit convoluted.

Did anyone get a message saying their pre-order code was invalid when attempting to redeem it on Mog Station?

Just so I'm clear on the steps.

1. Go to SE Store Orders page to get activation key.
2. Enter activation key at https://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com/na to get your registration code.
3. Enter that code on Mog Station.
4. It tells you the code is invalid and then you start questioning your life decision to this point.

Did SE talk about if they are doing any changes to Crossbar for all the new skills?

I've checked PLD skills and have my crossbar planned for that, but other jobs may be too crazy.

Yeah it looks like I'm good. I'm not sure if this means I can just play the game now or if I need to pray that my physical copy comes in the mail by the 23rd so I can enter the registration code. But at least I'm good up to the 22nd.

Grants a Whistle stack of 11. One Whistle used for each step that material condition is Good or Excellent. Increases the effectiveness of certain crafting actions when the stack size is a multiple of three. Progress increases significantly when stack size reaches 0 and effect wears off.

yea idk about physical versions and the 23rd. the digital version I bought says a code will be available on tuesday so idk

Alt Account #1: Days Subscribed 150 (5 Gold Feathers for recruit a friend, that subs for at least 30 days, 5 for 150 days subbed). Had to buy 1 60 day game card for 29.99 to hit the 150 days because I was already paid for 90 days 4 months ago when I set it up originally and SE could not add time using a credit card until that sub time lapsed). FYI, you can only have 180 days max at any time, and if you're at 150 days you can't add anymore time at all.

Alt Account #2: Days Subscribed 30 (5 Gold Feathers for recruit a friend that subs for a least 30 days). Had to buy another digital copy of XIV for 19.99 and then one more game time card for 29.99 to force the rewards to kick in ASAP so they will count immediately.

Total spent: 79.97
Total Gold Chocobo Feathers that should be in my mailbox in a few hours: 15

That's a lot of wasted money if people were right and you didn't need sub time on the accounts.

So, just to be 100% sure.
I used the EA code on my PS4, downloaded the 1.7 GB add on.
Then I logged in and downloaded the 5.7 GB patch.

Am I all set or will I have to download 3.6 GB once I get back home to play?

Then there is the meta of how feasible it is to drop Grit in order to use Blood Blade for it's duration for a nice dmg increase.

I'd argue PLD potentially has better utility than WAR now as well. Storms/Slashing is good but it can come from other sources, no one else has an aoe tank-HP stoneskin. Not to mention the spot healing they can do as OT now.

I dont have a horse in this race, but from what ive seen it seems more to me that the tanks are closer than they were in 2.x in terms of ability. im personally not gonna make anymore assumptions until I get the classes in my hands.
