Is it just me or does anyone else find the voices (at least the english ones) to not fit some of the characters?

IE -Ardyn Izunia sounds 60 years old but looks like he's in his early 40's maybe , The Dino guy sounds like an old Italian guy but looks like a 20 something posh guy.

It's like they didn't hire voice actors or get voices that "fit' the character designs and just threw random voices onto the characters even if it didn't sound right for the character.

I gotta say it's really weird being able to listen to random FFX music while I'm doing hunts or whatever in this game. It's almost like they are admitting the XV soundtrack isn't that great (and so far it's pretty unremarkable).

Anyone know anything about deluxe restocks? Last night I ordered deluxe from bestbuy in store pickup, and it says it should be available December 10th, but I'm worried they just won't get anymore.

I love this feature. So far I think the OST is great too -- event, battle, and dungeon music, all fantastic. Outpost/town music I'm fairly meh on.

But on the open field, and in the car, I really like having the classic tunes to listen to.

Man, I wasn't a prepared for that scene with Prompto. Hate to think that you could play the entire game without seeing that. Stuff like that should be forced on the player lol. As well as the Brotherhood stuff for context

Ok chapter 13 wasn't THAT bad...but it is quite long indeed.

The "annoying bit" only persisted for like the first 40-50 mins. The rest was pretty ok, the biggest complaint I have with the chapter is not the annoying bit, nor is it the length which is actually good considering how short previous chapters were. But rather the art and level design...it looks like something straight from an early 2000 game. Very repetitive and simplistic looking with your typical boxed room connected by corridor design.

Although the end payoff is quite nice and it leads to the game's end and by the time you get there you really really do feel like you've come a long way across...both due to how much time you've spent playing the game by then and also due to the way it's presented.

One major disappointment and huge missed opportunity of chapter 14
I kept being told about Hammerhead and how Cid and Cindy are still there and never moved...yet I didn't see them anywhere. All I see are random hunters here and there. Thst was kind of a hummer and I would have loved to see those two there...especially considering those two are the reason Hammerhead exists and always existed !!

I'm a bit underleveled for final chapter so I guess I'll go back in time to the open world to do some side quests and level up more.

I didn't like the controls at first, then I switched to control C...game changer. I'm loving what I've played so far (REALLY just begun), but I have some questions that aren't really answered in the game:

1) Once you unlock Ignis' ability to analyze weaknesses/strengths of monsters, what's the point of "Wait"? or rather what's the point of "wait" at all?

2) Is there any point to keeping treasure items, or are they purely for selling?

1) Wait mode is for players who prefer a less chaotic experience.

2) You can sell a lot of them, but you will need some fot quests.

i thought both of them were in lyststalum (?)

Just got a nasty bug on the regular PS4 that made all the bodies of water pitch black. Thank God for back up saves.

40 hours in. 26 of that just from today. On Chapter 8. This game is like crack. I'm always running off to do other things and I can't focus on the main storyline. I have one remaining royal arm left; going to do that and wrap up a few other quests and do the rest later.

Some of them are items that are required in some quests, if you sell them they you'll have to wait until you find them again before you can finish those quests.

Are they? Thought Talcott said that something like they asked Cid to move his garage but he said that idea was a pile of chocobo shit...and that Cindy keeps herself busy with work at the garage.

26 hour days ? Where do you live bruv?

Played Chapter 13 before I went t work this morning. HOLY FUCK, not a good thing to do before work. That shit annoyed me more than the Chocobo racing in Final fantasy X. It was so boring man.

1) Ahh okay, that makes sense.

2) Cool, I was going to horde them anyways lol.

Finally beat my first Iron Giant. That thing was plaguing me at the start but it feels so good to finally beat one.

Is 150 a hard limit on how many pictures you can save? I've got over 30 already and I'm only on ch. 2, and I don't really want to have to delete any.

ULTROS!

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
Overall feel spoiler and end game spoiler
This is probably the darkest (literally and thematically) mainline FF game. Everyone important dies (more or less, we don't know!), the world was in ruins, all the Astrals are dead. This game literally went from cool dudebro trip to downright sad.

I believe so :(

But you can upload them to the Internet to back them up (with triangle when browsing).

Is this game worth buying on standard ps4? (as in, is it ugly as sin if i don thave a pro)
I'm playing on Lite mode which is basically base PS4 visuals and the only thing I really notice between Lite and High quality is higher AF and marginally superior AO/reflections. The benefits of supersampling are so minor that I don't even notice it unless I plant my face next to the TV and switch back and forth between high and lite while keeping the camera still and looking at thin edges far off. The AF is the biggest difference graphically and even that you can look past while you are playing.

In short, considering I play while sitting 5 feet from my TV, the benefits are nowhere near as close for me to notice them while actually playing and certainly not enough for me to deal with the bad framepacing judders.

The game will look beautiful on base PS4, it won't run as well but it'll still run better than Pro's HQ mode.

It really is, though
the writing only conveys that feeling in the last few cutscenes of the game. The second half is a downward spiral to Hell and you're thrown around all the time trying to understand what is going on so you're too busy to feel that.

Thinking about it, the ending is really well made considering it manages to still have an emotional grip.

I watched Kingsglaive earlier and damn...I really want to play this game now. I thought it was actually pretty good.

I'm getting this red glowy stuff all over everything and reloading isn't making it go away... is there any way to fix this or is my game just gonna be like that forever?

What the HELL is with this difficulty spike at the end of the game?! These monsters are unbeatable!!

What area are you in? If I think you're talking about the right place. There is one guy who is like level 76, and the rest around 40's just run past the big bloke, you should be able to handle the ready easy!

Someone help....I am trying to get Sturdy Helixhorn or whatever for final sword upgrade. I've done The Last Spiracorn bounty 6 times now and no luck. I have to break it off the duplicorn, right?
