I have found that doing the postgame dungeons net you good amount of exp. Doing three of them gave me 250k exp, which tripled to 750 (giving me a jump from level 73 to 84).

You can find trophy requirements on psnprofiles.com for example, or you can look to any one of the trophy roadmaps you can find on google.

You should use thr 3x exp when you have north of 150k exp, since the price is quite high and you won't want to pay it too often.

My current level is 41. Can I clear those dungeons at this level?

Where do you guys read the trophy requirements. I've never platinum any game before but I'm considering doing it for this one.

How much built up experience should I have before going to the 3x hotel?

PowerPyx has great Trophy road maps if you get into Trophy hunting, but beware of spoilers. I usually take a quick glance before starting games to see if there are any missables or things I can focus on. I usually only Trophy hunt for real though once I decide I really enjoy a game. It can really enhance the experience by giving you something to strive for post game and challenge yourself (Hard Mode trophies, time attacks, post game bosses, etc).

This game has a very easy Platinum, but lengthy, you'll get 90% of the way there just by beating it and doing a lot of side quests and all the dungeons. The Survival trophy is specifically Gladios' talent that only goes up for time "roaming" the world. It seems like each level is tied to roughly 5 hours of exploration, people are just literally tying a rubber band between their two thumb sticks so their character runs in circles while they go do something else. It's a standard cheese method for trophies like this. If you play most the game on foot it probably isn't necessary. But if you spent the first 20 hours of the game fast traveling everywhere you'll be way behind and it'll likely be the last trophy you need.

Did you fast travel a lot? I'm almost level 7 for Survival, Cooking and Fishing (Prompto is already level 8) and I'm still on Chapter 3. I never fast travel, though.

I did until I got to post game and realized the Survival trophy was actually tied to movement. I figured it was tied to finding things post battle, like you know the purpose of the skill is :p

those the team up abilities?

Still getting a feel of the game. Is the Triangle warp abilities not suppose to hit lock onto enemies? Seems to only work for me if I warp up a wall somewhere and do a warp strike that way.

Other times it just seems like a longer dodge roll.

You need to be locked onto a mob to be able to warpstrike it. Depending on the mob, the warpstrike can miss.

If you aren't locked onto anything when you hit triangle, noctis will just throw his weapon in the direction you are holding and he will warp to it. You can even warp through enemies by hitting triangle while not locked onto anything. ( I recommend trying to start doing this, it really helps with dodging and positioning.)

I fought him for a high level greatsword quest, epic fight.

It a very fun fight, but She died way too fast for me. I was only like 5 levels ahead of her. I kinda wanted the fight to last longer :3

Guys, will I love Xenoblade X if I enjoyed FFXV? I loved Xenoblade Chronicles but I was told the sequel is nothing like it.

I dunno about that.

Xenoblade 1 is one of my favorite games ever and in my top 10 or even top 5 JRPGs ever made.

I also love FFXV for what it is.

I fucking hate Xenoblade X. My biggest disappointment this gen personally.

I like XCX and FFXV. XCX pretty much has the same combat system as XC, so you know what you are getting into.

XCX has a pretty huge open world to explore and there is a lot to do, but the story is even worse off then FFXV.

I'd say it's worth checking out, it has some awesome moments and the feeling of exploring unknown lands lasts longer in XCX then it does in FFXV.

I'm excited for new game +, it could make some of the boss battles interesting.

I was ready to make a comment about even listening to the Super Mario 64 soundtrack isn't helping, but I put on Bob-Omb Battlefield and actually got through a few difficult platforming areas.

Finished though! That place has its own level in hell. Whoever came up for the idea of a platforming dungeon in this game deserves like, food poisoning or something. I dunno, being hyperbolic isn't even deserved.

Was it worth it? Well...
I got a Black Hood on the way out, which makes Noctis automatically evade attacks,
So maybe,

They're totally different games with the only thing in common is that they're JRPG's.

I personally enjoy Xenoblade Chronicles X more. I loved the story side mission you do for your companions in Xenoblade chronicles x but the main story has its flaws like Final Fantasy XV does. I also enjoyed the battle system and gameplay of Xenoblade Chronicles X over Final Fantasy XV. Xenoblade Chronicles X is more of a true open world. A very beautiful open world that covers 5 continents which are all very different but empty in the terms of Big cities and covered in lush natural environments. I enjoyed it for what it is, a great game in my opinion. Take my opinion with a grain of salt because I also loved Xenoblade Chronicles X sound track way more then Final Fantasy XV sound track.

I started this dungeon last night. It's been really enjoyable so far, but I guess it's more the novelty of having something like this in the game that I'm enjoying.

Man is noctis insufferable early on. It's like i'm playing a Tales game or something. Does he have a good story arc at the very least?

Also the dialogue mix is really weird at times, in which they overlap with each other in a strange way like how you mix 2 different audio sources poorly.

Story so far is terrible as well.

This might actually be the worst first few hours i've played in a game in years lol.

Every boss past 10 is going be terrible for you it way more fun being equal level about 40-50 prepare for super anti climatic fights

They are adding a level limit cap for story chapters. <3

Besides, I rather enjoy bulldozing the story bosses in FF games. Have done this since FF4.

Doing a warp without locking on gives you this short invincible warp for positioning and dodging, you need to lock on to do the warp strike.

Hello everyone,

What are the best skills to take first ?

Blink and Airstep for Noctis, Regroup for Ignis.

The sequel is nothing like Xenoblade, but tbh, that made me realize Xenoblade Chronicles never really needed a "sequel" they should have called it something else.

Here's something I used:

Ok I'm kicking myself. In the past I created many experience spells but the never cast when I tried to use them so I ended up tossing them.

How do I get the spell to cast? It may seem like a dumb question but that spell and heal/cure spells I was never able to cast for whatever reason.

Just finished Chapter 11-12, they were a joke, game's already going down from 7.
Can't wait to dig into this supposed shitfest of Ch.13.

....why? Wait for the new patch rather than try something that almost everyone disliked. There's tons of games out there you can play now before doing it.

Well congratulations! You got yourself caught!
Holy hell the Survival trophy is brutal. I was at level 7 and I played for about 5 hours last night and barely got past level 8, and I ran everywhere. Trying to clean up the remaining trophies and that one is going to require straight up time unless I cheese it.

Yea, this and the photography one seem to require a ton of grinding for those wanting the platinum. Highly recommend for new players to abuse Prompto's phot skill in battle at every opportunity and just walk everywhere from the start of the game if you wish to avoid making these the last and most tedious trophies to unlock.

Great. I was grinding by killing wyvern(hunt) and now a glitch won't spawn them I tried taking another "all time" hunt and still won't spawn the monsters.

Of all kind of glitches this shit happens to me? :/

Yeah that happens once in a while. Just restart the game and it will (hopefully) clear away.

I got Prompto's skill to level 10 when I had just started postgame and I don't think I was doing anything special (never used his skill in battle). Agree about Gladio's being a pain, though.

Oh also, best dungeons in FF ever.

I loved Costlemark Sewers, even though it was a pain in the ass that I had to resort to a guide to get to Jorgumand. Just wondefully confusing layout that reminded me of yesteryears.

Nah, i'm okay with play the game as it was at launch and then revisit it a couple of years from now when it's actually complete.

I've seem to gotten Photography to 90% of the way through Level 9 just through normal play and post game activities. I didn't use his in battle skill at all, but I did do a lot of the Photo Op quests when I was driving around which seem to bump up that skill a lot.

Exactly my thoughts, it had that sense of brutal difficulty that getting lost and stuck in/on puzzles in old JRPG dungeons felt like. I immediately had a flashback to a Wild Arms game where this was this puzzle that required you to run between different rooms, took us forever to solve, but we had to fight enemies for hours while we were running back and forth. It isn't a bad thing in small doses. I also had a big fear of what was around the next corner as the fights seemed to get increasingly more difficult. I was getting worried they might throw me in a fight with three Yojimbos haha.

Ignis is easily my favorite character so far. The best english voice acting of the group as well.

I loved the english voice acting in general, and Ignis was indeed charming. But Prompto takes the cake, man. Just, Prompto. :)

ENDING SPOILERS:

Also, Noctis' voice actor REALLY delivered his final lines in a very believable way. It truly got to me.

Reload your last autosave and it should work.

Why when the patch is so close to be released? Probably in a few days.

It's better than cursing and hating the experience, unless you want a sense of kindred-ship with everyone who finished it early.

Wait what? I thought they never gave a release window for the patch?

Also, the December patch is supposed to add more Pro features (1080p/60fps). The story-related patch is an entirely different thing that just got an announcement, not a release date.

They said the patch that fixes the story is a "long term goal," since they need to make new voiced cutscenes and localize them to every language.

So no, don't expect it for at least another 3-6 months.

Yeah, Prompto is the surprise for me. Solid voice acting and from everything before I played, I thought I'd like to strangle him. Proved me wrong. Best bro.

Ah, right. No. On level 41, I would go to the eastern side of the cauthess disc and challenge one level 58 enemy (a
moose-like
monster) which nets you roughly 10k exp. Generally, I would say just wandering around, killing Garulae and magitek troopers and traversing some of the dungeons littered around the map, should net you close to or even past 150k exp, which you can then redeem at a hotel for a nice bonus (if you have not yet reached chapter 9, then you should stay at Galdin Quay for 2x exp, otherwise stay at
Leville (or something like that) luxury suite in Altissia which gives you 3x exp.
)

Tackling the extra dungeons should become possible around level 60, though are really hard regardless (I still find the higher ones really hard, and I am level 84).

Ah yeah, but still I expect at least a fix to chapter 13. Might as well wait.

Really dont mind doing a new game+ in a few months though. Adore this game.

Yoshichan

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
Will you be able to do a low level playthrough with the next patch?

Not that it's a shitfest, more like a boring, 3 hours mess of corridors and 'I win button' fights.

It's just everything that the game wasn't until that part, therefore, shit.
