Any quick tips for magic crafting/use?

The tutorials don't do a wonderful job of explaining it, or I missed something obvious.

I've collected 99 of each element, I have two spare flask, I can't seem to add catalysts. Randomly combining things isn't getting very far.

Anyone either feel like explaining or linking to an article that does it well, please?

The plan was to get little closer to my vacation time next month to grab this, but I kinda knew that wouldn't stick. I already felt weirdly obligated to support FFXV at launch and reading Kotaku's review made me crack. Grabbed both Kingsglaive and the game digitally at 12:30a last night. Only watched about half so far but I'm shocked at how watchable the film is. It also has me hyped to dive into that world in a way I wasn't before.

10 Tour missions and 23 dungeons ( graves included, 12 without )

Well it would take me quite some time, maybe i'll edit this later but for now there are 9 costumes for Noctis and 7 for the companions.

Lol, I literally had to check if I am in the wrong game thread. XD
No, you have to catch two. (At least I had to) The cat does not eat the fish raw. You have to ask the cook of the Mother of Pearl to cook it for you. But she only cooks it if you bring her a fish too.

Question for those that have played this and also Witcher 3 - I just beat the Witcher 3 base game. Should I take a break before playing the Witcher 3 DLC's (already own them), and instead play FFXV? I know the Witcher 3 DLC's are pretty long but if I wait too much I'll miss the Prime 20% off the game I think. I liked FFIX, FFX and Kingdom Hearts, but didn't like XII or XIII.

The Witcher 3 DLC is some of the best content out there. Don't miss out.

Idk about you but I literally felt a sense of depression after finishing the Witcher base game. I played hours a day until I beat it and then physically couldn't go back into the game for a while. Hearts of Stone is definitely playable in the short term it wasn't that long and was incredible but I've heard BaW is much longer, I still haven't played it yet. Saving it for another time I figure there's no rush I don't want to finish the game quite yet.

Sorry I can't help you with your second question I haven't played the game yet. Just got it in the mail.

I'm still early so I haven't experienced it myself but it's been said the plot does improve later on, if that helps.

When it comes to the opening hours they really screwed up the plot in my opinion. I'm sure it happened out of development concerns but Kingsglaive shouldn't have been a thing in the first place. Make those movies after your game's out instead of delegating important context to them. Yeah yeah, cross-media marketing... It's still shit. It's a really unfortunate cut.

But yeah, since you're having a blast if you're willing to I'd recommend watching that stuff. I've watched it all and it still doesn't work right but it does help a lot. I'm having a blast too so I'm not letting it bother me too much though.

So are specific moves with each weapon activated through special commands or under certain conditions? Like with a greatsword you have your regular combos but I've also done a whirling slash (like Link) as well as a charge stance where I can charge up until I release the O button for like 6x dmg. Not sure what the conditions for doing these are.

I was able to use that same fish for the cooking part too. The one I gave the cat didn't disappear.

can someone help me understand how using potions works? Half the time I'll go to heal someone and their name will be grayed out but someone with full health can be selected.

I'm still on chapter 1, but I actually feel like Brotherhood is more important than Kingsglaive.

If you use wait mode, you can do it yourself by using lock-on. If not, then unlock the Analyze skill for Ignis.

They're listed on-screen every time you lock-on to an enemy.

Stand on the marker and turn your camera 360 degrees until you see a mining point. It's dumb but the markers only show the general location sometimes and not the specific thing you're looking for.

I don't think it's dumb at all. I find it refreshing that when you arrive at the general area there's no prompt telling you to activate OUJI MODE or whatever variant of Batman's Detective Mode to "investigate". Even if it can lead to some frustrating moments.

I just got to that first motel after getting the Regalia fixed and have no concerns with the plot. Maybe it's too early. I'm having a blast just going around, exploring and hunting.

Each weapon type has a ridiculous amount of nuance with different attacks that you can trigger based on directional inputs and timing.

The world is really bland and uninteresting so far. Still enjoying it but expected better production values from a FF game, even with a troubled dev cycle

Okay, I'll just get this out of the way cause I know it'll happen later on, 150 is not enough Tabata!

Prompto takes way too many amazing pictures. In chapter 1 and I've already saved like 20 pictures. Increase it with an update please.
