Chapter 3, exploring doing hints/side quests.
Absolutely loving this. I didn't go into it expecting the open world to be anything more than the standard FF level design but more open, which is exactly what I wanted.
I spend a vast amount of time in every FF just wandering and grinding/leveling. It's like some kind of zen garden for me. I get why some would be disappointed if they wanted something more akin to, say, TW3's open world, but this is FF exploration at its best imo.
Something about this game's systems just prevents it from feeling like a miserable collectathon for me.
Combat really is good when you get the rhythm of it. Anyone thinking it's too loose or imprecise really needs to take a step back.
Timing of parties for links, techs, combos like using an ability that gathers targets then bombing win magic, it's a brawl but a controlled one. So far it's the exact right mix of action and tactical.
The latter was my biggest concern coming in. Turn based has always been my preferred system for these games, and while it still is the current battle system is good enough to keep me focused. Very pleased.
Same. It adds to the sense of adventure/exploration. I love the sense of camaraderie it builds between the guys.

I personally love how exp is handled. Receiving it at the end of the day slightly builds up anticipation for it, and makes retina actually fun (in combi with other activities there obviously).
