For Those Buying Final Fantasy XV: Which Version Are You Getting?

I have the Ultimate Edition on preorder but I think I might cancel it and get the regular day one edition. Going from £190 down to £36 is quite the saving.
 
I think I'm just gonna go with the Deluxe Edition instead of the UCE so I can also get a Pro. Now that I know there will be a limited edition bluray ost release, the UCE has even less value for me, it's not worth it, especially with that figure jacking up the price.
 
How did you guys got the Deluxe on amazon at $43??? I got mine preordered since the release of the preorder page and I still have it at $77
 
Well it was going to be the ultimate edition, but then I was finding it hard to budget for it, so I was going to cancel it, but then I was hearing the positive previews and then the latest trailer got me super fucking hyped, so now I don't know.

The value I got from pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition from Amazon earlier this year ($43) was just too good to pass up. Plus, Square kind of shot themselves in the foot with the Gamestop exclusive game and the season pass not being included. It's hard to justify an "ultimate" collector's edition that doesn't even include the complete FFXV experience.

On the other hand, I did buy the CE for World of Final Fantasy and didn't regret that one bit. Totally worth the price and I'm wholly satisfied with the contents.

In the same boat as the original OP. Went thru this entire thread to think it thru. I think if the season pass was in here I would keep it. But what is in there is just not worth it. If I really feel I need it most is available for purchase in some form. I also made the mistake in not waiting to seeing the movie. So there is very little here that I actually want. I have yet to warm to this main character to actually want a statue of him. Thought for a second to just by and re-sell it but since I went thru the Amiibo stuff and the re-sellers I will not do that to someone else.

I'm torn ... I've been buying stuff digitally far more often these days but there's something about picking up a disc for a new final fantasy game. But , unlike many "games as a service" releases these days , this is largely a single player affair so owning a disc of it won't be the end of the world.

If I do end up grabbing a physical copy , it will be the barebones bog standard PS4 version.
 
I think I'll be content with the normal edition from Amazon. The extra cost for the deluxe isn't worth it (I have no interest in kingsglaive and I'm not spending an extra 20 for a steel book) and I want to see what's exactly in the season pass before buying that
 
I had the ultimate edition preordered right after the Uncovered event, but canceled it a month ago because I realized it was a colossal waste of money. I'd never look at the extras again. Kingsglaive and Brotherhood were shit. I don't care for figures, either.

So, just the normal edition for me now.
 
I have the UCE ordered and I'm wavering with it. I haven't had any notification about when they'll be charging yet (UK).

I have the PS4Pro pre-ordered too and I'll probably cancel that. I'd like to have a pro for XV but I'm 99% sure they'll do a VII console when the remake comes out and I'm committed to the highest level of VII Remake merch available when any of it comes out, so I think I'm sticking with vanilla PS4 until I know more. That said I'm a huge Mass Effect fan aswell and I'd also like to have the Pro for that. But I don't have a 4K TV or the money to blow on one currently.

SO MANY FACTORS

Anyway I have a little while to decide if I want to cancel my pro pre-order or not. I just know I don't want to end up having bought three PS4's, and I'll absolutely no-question buy a VII-themes PS4Pro if that happens. Argh.
 
I just got mail from Square-Enix informing that they will begin charging for pre-orders on October 31. I already made sure I got enough money on my card. :p
 
I have the DE preordered, but the more I think about it, the more I think SE is being really scummy making people buy Kingsglaive if they want the steelbook. May just hold off entirely as I'm on the fence anyway.

I'll probably just get the day 1 version from my local Best Buy. I'm hoping that 16bit/sprite based car wrap will be downloadable for everyone though, eventually. I'll get the season pass too because I'm excited for the content included as well.
 
I'm bought my FFXV copy from Amazon back in May, I hope I get something good.

Has anyone bought a 4k DHR tv specifically for Final Fantasy XV?
Any good TV's Under $600? I prefer 40-50 inch if possible.

But I want it, so I'm getting that. I know it's only 25 bucks just wish they could a thrown that in there.
 
I've had my pre-order from Amazon set almost year maybe even two years ago. It's down to $38 tax and all for a regular edition. I'm good for that. The only SE game I bought in the last five years was the Fire Emblem Fates and only because all three stories were on the same cart.

I cancelled my UCE preorder because adding custom duty to it would have cost me like $450. I don't really care anymore though, so a digital PS4 version would suffice.
 
Doing the Ultimate Collectors. The price hurts, especially given that they're charging almost a month prior to release; but whatever. I'm going all in with this game, only time will tell if it was worth it.
