Would like to break away from all this post race drama by saying how impressed I've been with Stroll's development over the past few races. If you compare his on boards from Aus to Can/Baku you can see a big improvement in car control alone. Him getting this podium will boost his confidence massively as well.
Just got back home after drinking way beyonf what I should have, don't know what the hell happened but RIC getting the win is awesome, love that guy, shame what happened to Verstappen, mehcanical issue? Not sure, haven't watched the race, it's a shame though as he's another guy I really like and I love his aggressive driving style. Even though I'm rooting for Hamiltion to win the WDC it's been a great season so far, I'm so nerbous and getting butterflies in my stomach before every race start because it's not just a formailty anymroe, last time I felt this way was 2012 with Alonso. I miss those days when Alonso was competing at the top. If it was anyone apart from Vettel I would be rooting for Ferrari, he's the only driver on the grid I wouldn't want to see win. brotkasten, TCRS, Dutch adn the rest of ferrari gaf are the only reason I would be content with VET winning the WDC, and also fuck Honda.
He was twitchy in his steering and seemed to lack confidence in his car control. He always had the skills in him, I think earlier in the season he let the pressures of having his every move put under the microscope get him.
I went through exactly the same thing. Surreal.Woke up and saw my boy Danny Ric win the whole thing.
And I read before someone wanting to see Verstappen's reaction if Danny only reached the podium, not win the whole thing ;-)
10 second stop and go penalty to be precise.I also saw Vettel only get a 10 second penalty for basically road rage side shunting Hamilton. We really missed a good race.
He would've. Hamilton lost because he had to pit to change his headrest. Vettel could've cruised to the win. Shame that he had to act like a whiny asshole.I didn't watch the race, would Seb have won if he didn't hit Hamilton? Really stupid thing to do

Holy shit, Danny practically pulled a Stephen Bradbury:

Didn't he leave the car afterwards during the red flag?Unless the headrest came lose because of the crash. Which is very possible. In which case Vettel turned a certain finish behind Hamilton into one in front of him.

Cant believe Max Verstappen didnt get hit with this penalty literally every other race last year.
Has Webber chimed in on Vettel's outrage?
So, given I missed the race completely, is it worth watching in full? It sounds like there were hardly any boring bits, and that Danny actually drove well and didn't necessarily coast to win.
Plus, if there's an opportunity to see Max cry/whine, I'm all for it
Channel 4 has Ben Edwards right? I love his commentary. In Canada, TSN uses the Sky broadcast.Watching the youtube highlights and wondering why anyone in the UK would watch this commentary over the channel 4 one. For all the dramatic moments Crofty is shouting then Brundle just repeats it ("CONTACT" "DAMAGE"). And this is before the favouritism people complain about in this thread
Is it safe to assume that whomever didn't latch in Hamilton's head rest properly got fired?

Doesn't he still have the mechanics from 2016?This is Mercedes not Ferrari.
I like Vettel at Ferrari, but I wouldn't put being slightly insane passed him, especially having witnessed Turkey mostly live. After this and Turkey 2010 I think VET is either blind on his right eye or completely insane.
I'm still baffled he wasn't immediately disqualified.
He did, but the locking mechanism (or rather the release) might have been damaged when they bumped their wheels together.

So Seb would have won if not for his brain fade

Hell no, and I hope they don't.
There's a lesson to be learned, but that's it. The incident was punishment enough.
When I first saw the footage I though maybe seb hit him on accident what with him looking to his right and trying to gesture maybe he wasn't paying attention to what his hand on the wheel was doing. But if that was the case why wouldn't he just apologize?
Because MiGOAT Schumacher would never apologize for running over lesser drivers and neither should Seb.
Sebastian Vetfefe
The resurrection of German Jesus is turning more and more into original German Jesus ,Michael Baemacher, every year. The same man who fucked up Villeneuve, tried to clock Coulthard and "crashed" his car in Monaco to stop Alonso from getting pole. Is it the smartest thing to do? Fuck no!
But it brings back some of the excitement from the good old days!
Schumacher was calculated. Evil.
Vettel is a entitled brat with road rage.
It's not remotely the same. Though it was hilarious.
