Forza 5 Showroom | New cars and details for Forza 5, ongoing reveals

thats easy to imagine, because lance hayes also did that calm electronic with strings music you listened to when tuning and painting on f4 too.

here's stuff he did for forza after forza 4 was shipped: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVRfLOJlFA4#t=81

or you can go to section called forza 4 soundtrack selections below to refresh your memory

I guess the only thing f5 music will lack, is some goddam guitar pumping sounds for when I'm overtaking like crazy. but when spending time tuning painting searching etc, music will be very suitable and correct for my tastes 8)

Im tired of imagining with this game I want some damn FACTS!!!!!!!!!......!!!!!!!!!!

The first gameplay of Bathurst was just shown on Channel 7 just then during the broadcast of the Race.

It was only about 20 seconds of footage but it showed going down from Skyline to the start of Conrod.

There are some Tyre barriers coming into the Esses to stop you from cutting the track, those aren't there in real life.

Looks great for a shitty video.

But yeah, the race is a very close and exciting one.
Bathurst always delivers..

C'mon Turn 10, show us Mount Panorama already FFS!!!!

Damn, that drag race down the straight was crazy!
The Great Race indeed.

The first 90% of Bathurst is like going on a date - quite enjoyable, but a part of you is thinking ahead to the last twenty laps. That ending was pure sex.

Will cars in autovista mode be as in-depth as they were in Forza 4 (info bubbles)?

I would presume so.

Also Andy managed to lead the race for a moment in the #10 Xbox One Racing VF Commodore which was quite an achievement but even more so finishing 10th overall. Congratulations!
Hmm, car #10 finishing 10th, a coincidence?:cautious:

For those who watched the Channel 7 broadcast, we had a segment where we showed first footage of FM5's Bathurst. If you missed it, don't worry, we are preparing something for the worldwide audience..

I want to see this in the showcase trailer..

A little history of the track.
Show classic footage of the Monaros and Falcons battling out on the track.
Move onto The King Of The Mountain, Peter Brock and his exploits with the Torana's and Brock Commodores.
Talk about the Nissan Skyline GTR dominating and then ending non Holden and Ford's at the track.
Cue Mark Skaife and the modern era.

Show FM5 Mount Panorama.
Announce that cars from yesterday and today will be featuring in the game.
Cue footage of FM5 Holden Monaro, Holden Torana, Ford XY GT, HDT Brock Commodore, V8 SC
Have the classics and modern cars take a lap together at The Mountain.
Pan across to the grandstands as a Kangaroo and a Koala have a beer.
Fade out to "Only on Forza Motorsport 5 and Xbox One"
Fucking done....

it makes sense for a barrier to be there, recent simbin's version of bathurst has the same type of barrier, that also invalidates your lap if you run on.

the difference is going flatout 4th gear if the barrier was not there to stop you from cheating, compared to a very slow 3rd or 2nd gear that is if you stay on the track

This approach is much better than the sticky grass/road one IMO.

Footage looks good, we just need a proper direct feed version of this now...

Yeah I am all for some creative license as it come to cheat corners. There is just a giant pile of people who will cut any corner that they can even if it would tear a real car up, and the sticky grass is just keeping you honest. But it was also super annoying if you just touched it and it stopped you cold. I'd rather take my chances with a wall you can see and avoid.

Practicality trumps 100% accuracy for me in this case.

I've just been trying to get round Bathurst in Project Cars. Even in a modest road car I smash the thing to bits up on the Skyline, through the Esses and tend to over-cook it at the kink in the Conrod Straight.

Online in Forza 5 is going to be a bloodbath. :)

Sticky grass can work at some sections well away from the track but it's annoying hitting it when trying to avoid a collision, ends up being less costly to plough into the back of somebody and regain control than tackling the grass.
