I didn't notice that before lol. It is actually floating about an inch off the ground.
Alien technology confirmed.
Yeah, I don't get it. If these guys can do it, why can't everybody else?
until i saw Jack's pic, I was running around in all 3 variations of the track, trying to find where is that spot with the correct shadow
so, i couldnt find it because the sun is in an entirely different position.
this is the straight before the left turn and big downhill segment.
in f4 the sun is behind us while in f5 is across us, thats why shadows in f5 pic in front while in f4 back.
also I picked a beige metallic oem color because reflections and time of day.
my photo settings are reset to default.
note: since aventador sounds so fucking great in f4, I want to hear it growl in f5 even better 8)
note 2: better to not discuss the xbone general situation here.
Yeap, thats how i roll 8)I see you did it in hot lap mode.

not a fan of the forza checkered design tires but graphically they look nice
Michelin Pilot Sport tires have that design on them.
I'll step in and help clear the whole floating thing up.
It's the lighting and shadows being similar in color. The lighting appears to be "under" the tire due to the curvature of the tire.
I know what P3tran is trying to show, but I'm not sure he understands how to show the lighting and the illusion it creates (no offense p3tran).
This should help...as you can see the shadow starting for the tire...it just blends to the same color, unfortunately. Here you go...below. I changed the shadow levels to hopefully show where it starts.
There is no ambient occlusion or anything of the like, so it looks like it's floating. The shadows near the tires should look darker.
nowhere near as much
Ok, went through and looked at every Show Room shot.
Almost every other car is sitting in a different spot and some cars are in nearly the same spot, but turned to the left or to the right. Some are facing in the complete opposite direction despite being in the same area.
All this in the same "home space/showroom". Also, some cars have their tires turned left, some right, some straight. Did they program every car to be in a different position in the show rooms or is it something we control?
I'm wondering if you can position, drive, move, or setup the cars any way you want. Even with a driver in them. Maybe you can drive them straight out of the showroom to a test track? I don't think that's likely though.
remember, it hasn't been confirmed that it is 1920x1080p...
the way things are going it could very well be a "PR" 1080p.
Also, the jaggies are everywhere with this game, making me think that whatever resolution they got it running at is so strained that they couldn't afford any AA solution.
Maybe they went with the Continental Extreme Contact design then, they use a larger racing flag.
Either way it does not bother me.
for the new page.. to set the mood 8)
lets see how many red lines you can paint on that!
how come t10 dont notice these things hmm
Adding Ambient Occlusion is one other process that'll tax the system that doesn't add too much. Besides accurate AO is very expensive.
i see no flags on those after a google search? and its not a huge deal i just think its an ugly design
All i can see is the bad texture work on the snow... i am sorry but when the car looks good, the eyes wonder around to see if everything else matches up to the same quality and in this case... it doesn't.
It is also... a really low poly mountain side...

What texture work are you talking about ?
There's tons of motion blur, it looks perfectly fine.
What I see is AO on the car, much better lighting, much better shaders for plastic, rubber and glass.
More detailed backgrounds.
Hype.
Looks great.
its... also a giant blur. not sure how you can make out much in the way of texture detail...

Textures... i'll give you the benefit of doubt, however you can clearly see the low poly work on the mountain side...

Have you accounted for the possibility of negative camber lifting the outside edge of the tire off the ground?
in the racing genre, it is.They have to realize they ain't halo or cod

Does FM5 going gold mean that facts will be released?
p.s.
good job with the gif, inspector 706, but you are still behind ;p
yes, you are right, and they have planned for this a long time ago, but even I expect that they'll show a lot of stuff before release date.Remember that "going gold" does not mean as much as it does for other games, since T10 have said that they will include a lot of content in a day 1 patch and the disks will be incomplete (yet playable)
Note: Correct me if I'm wrong because I read this a few months ago and haven't heard anything on it since.
well better luck next timeI was unable to travel into the future to beat you
T10, have mercy on us.
Isn't it clear how desperate we are ?
Finally, some CBOAT positivity.
