Forza Horizon |OT| A Whole New Playground

I had to start a new game on a usb stick to get the loyalty cars. Only problem there is I can't send the cars to my real save game. They can't be gifted. I hope it works out better for you.
Is that the race that has you targeting the the Raptor? If so, that had me completely dumbfounded until I put it down "Hard" and even then there was a fair amount of luck.

If you still aren't quite "getting" this game, or you want to truly see what makes the game special then do the following:

Drive like a banshee
Driving that car in Horizon is just GLORIOUS. Being so close to the road and the sound, and the grip and the SPEED. God, so close to driving perfection.

So far I've been renewing my love of muscle cars, or as I like to call them: counter-steer training devices. My exploration ride of choice has been an A class Evo: good speed, good for drifting, good for off road. But now that I've found all 216 roads, its time to track down favorite stretches of track for each kind of car to just fuck around in.
Am loving that high speed, gorgeous route between Carson and Beaumont for letting loose, the Observatory uphill/downhill for long drifting with traffic, and plan to explore the warehouse areas in Carson more to see how Ken Block-ish I can get.
Also getting a handle on visual cues to aid navigation. Looking to the snow capped Rockies in the East, high plateaus to the West, and the colorful Kettle Hills to the south. Stuff like that. Give me an open world that's well designed and I'll end up committing every last shortcut and route to memory. Its definitely harder without a compass though.

Damnit....just played PGR4 with this wheel and the difference with Forza Horizon amazing. The wheel feel so much better with PGR...it isn't even funny. I hope there will be a patch so the MS FFB wheel will be optimised for Forza Horizon too.

I like seeing other people's liveries and upgrades in multi. It really adds a sense of ownership and personalization that you don't ever get in online racing games.

Managed to get the 2011 subaru with a turbo but keeping it in B class, way too heavy and has odd looking wheel sizes to be worth using, might go back to the light weight grip setup over raw power.
This is a game I will play for a long time, not going to cruise through it on normal, insane all the way along with the friends times you can beat, there is a lot to do.

Haha, get home from work, fire up the game and there's 73 messages waiting for me. I LOVE how active the ForzaGAF car club is.
This game makes me feel giddy about a game in a way that I haven't felt since Blur. In a lot of games I play now I just feel like I'm going through the motions but here I am enjoying it in a way that's hard to explain.

I had my Card stolen by an ATM the other day, so I had to cancel it, forgetting that my pre-order was ordered on that!
Cue my sad face when the e-mail came yesterday to say it'd been declined, and all I could do was cancel the order..
The missus took pity and scoured a load of supermarkets this morning and found some not so clued up staff who sold her a copy!.. Well done that girl!
I've done the first 20 races/4 barn finds, yada, yada, yada..
What a great game, it's everything I wanted TDU to be, superb frame rate, good graphics and a good arcade/realistic handling model that just makes you drive like a nutter..
The best bit is Insane AI is a real challenge in some races!!! I've lost count of how many restarts I've done just to get a perfect record!

Yeah, there's something really funny with the feedback in this game. It's far better with the wheel, but it's nowhere near as good as it should be given that I'd tried PGR4 with it not much earlier. Coupled onto that the vibration on controllers is essentially non-existant, I'm more inclined to think that it's a bug rather than how the game was actually meant to be.
Fingers crossed it's one of the first things addressed in patching... because I honestly can't find much else that would be patch-worthy (other than the ability to adjust the FOV of both the bonnet and in-car cams... they're both so far out of whack for my preferences it's not funny

i have no idea. unfortunately there is no falcon (yet i hope!). anyway not really sure if there is anything close to the one and only last of the great v8's.
btw: how can you tell if you can share a car with the car club or not. i tried to share my audi quattro and it told me it was locked. is it because i am using one of hertz donut's awesome paint jobs or is it because i won it from a showcase event. anyone know?

Unfortunately no. The burnout smoke can look pretty decent in some shots, maybe it's been plumped up a bit compared to FM due the extra bandwidth available from 30fps.
Haha so it's not just me. It's all good though, I'm still having a blast.

This game has some amazing visuals and lighting in the middle of the day, but in the evenings the orange glow just reminds me so much of dirt 2's yellow everywhere look, then while the night stuff is most welcomed finally after it's been missing since forza 1, I can't help but feel most things look rubbish under the night sky. The headlights look like someone autoblurred a paintbrush stroke in photoshop and called it a day and it really doesn't work well in photo mode.

no, you can only trade them in. I've had to do it with a few of the duplicate cars you win from leveling up in multiplayer.

This game is even better when you're part of a club. Being able to compete with everyone on things while in single player is lots of fun.

Only downside is getting half a million messages every time you play the game lol.
Oh man I just heard Over and Over, loved that song from Saints Row 2! Never hear it on the radio though.
I wish they could have done more with Kinect. Like head tracking. The GPS functionality of it is pretty lame.
By the way m0dus I bought a Lancer just so I could drive around with your design. Love it.

It would make sense since it's Colorado and you can see snow capped mountains in the distance...
