Excellent news on the reviews. I've only skimmed them but they all seem to say that the game is very accessible to everyone and is a great all round, dare I say definitive, sim racer.

I don't know if there is a mission statement for this game but if there is I'm pretty sure I know what it is and I'm pretty sure T10 have nailed it. Well done.

Well done Turn10!

I haven't been excited for a game like this in along time. Even though I am not going to be great at it, Forza always had a place in my heart and for me; it is the definitive racing game.

:)

My goal is to reach Level 50 in Forza 2 before Forza 3 ships. Believe it or not, I still can see my self playing Forza 2 in the future!

And now the wait really begins. Can't wait for more modus/jubei livery information and pictures. I'll take all the livery info I can get.

Just read in the IGN review that all the cars are unlocked from the get-go, thats freakin awesome, it was one of my pet-peeves in the single player of Forza 2 that i had to do races i didn't like to unlock a car that i wanted.

Gamereactor norway review is up.

Seems they weren't playing full sim?

They mention that panels only get dirty & scratched. We know that isn't true...

Grafikken er nemlig veldig statisk og livløs. The graphics are in fact very static and lifeless. Kræsjer jeg med andre biler blir det ingen røyk eller spektakulære gnisteffekter, alt som skjer er at den skinnende blanke teksturen til motstanderens bil blir byttet ut med en litt skitnere tekstur. I crashes with other cars there will be no smoke or sparks spectacular effects, all that happens is that the shiny shiny texture to the opponent's car will be replaced with a slightly dirtier texture. Det ser falskt og merkelig ut. It looks fake and strange.

Also sounds like he's running 'easy' AI. Not a big deal. Who knows how reviewers set shit up.

edit: whoa that doesn't stay translated when you copy/paste. :lol

Hmm... there's sparks when I've crashed playing the game. I've seen them quite a few times, I've also got a replay / photo with them in (a car pushed me sideways over the finish line! :lol )

Yay, MS France gave us the green light for the videos, so here are our first 4 60 fps videos. Point to point races (duels) at Fujimi Kaido, Amalfi and Nürburgring :)

All driving aids except ABS disabled, played with the MS wheel except the Fujimi Kaido one done with the controller. Don't expect great driving, but it's not too bad.

I disliked both Forza 1 and 2 for the most part, but I'm *really* enjoying Forza 3 :)

That game reactor review seems like they were expecting an arcade racing game more than anything else, judging by the translation....so for me I can mostly ignore a lot of the points they make, seeing as this is not the reason why I have pre-ordered the LE.

I have only read 2 of the reviews so far, but the scores on the whole look VERY promising!

So far, so good T10 :D Congrats!!!

Any chance of your thoughts on the game Blim and why this feels different to you than the other Forzas.

Stuck at work now, most sites and blocked :( can't wait to get back and have a good old read.

Well for the most part I really like that I'm not basically forced into having to do the upgrade of the car myself. I just select the car I want, go to quick upgrade and it will select all the parts needed to get the car to the class required for that championship. I'm not at all into car tuning so this was a major annoyance for me before.
The rewinds also help me actually drive more agressively while learning a new track or car. I still pretty much do the race again when I'm fucking up while racing seriously, but it's a great addition.

Gamersyde does it again. Thanks.

Don't put too much weight into the gamereactor review, since they're (in general) shit (not just this review).

Gamer.no, on the other hand, gave it 9/10.

so gamereactor.no is shit and Gamer.no is better because of what?? because the are more harsh and demanding in the reviews..? because Forza 3 scored higher on Gamer.no..?

why is that site shit..?

In the demo you can bottom out at 2 parts of the track easily and make sparks.

One last quick post... Already 300+ views on the 3 videos I put up; hope you guys like them. If you check my page ( http://www.youtube.com/user/HoTHiTR ) in about ~30 minutes there should be a Shelby GT500 @ Fujimi Kaido Section A video up.
Love the videos but do you play treating the analog stick like a dpad? I can hear you making the stick hit the side walls constantly and it's like you never move the stick slightly but tap it... makes the video hard to watch because of that.

ok. here is another Gamereactor review. This is from the Danish site. The review is done by a car-enthusiast.

http://translate.google.com/transla...rza+Motorsport+3/&sl=da&tl=en&history_state0=

9/10

Good: Incredible driving physics. The best tracks in a racing game to date. Delicious graphics. 400 cars.
Bad: Predictable AI. Damage model should be adjusted.

He loves the game.. only downside is a predictable AI that follows the optimal driving line to much. It is to easy to force them into errors etc. And he thinks the damage modelling is lacking. I will quote him here:

Even with the damage model set to realistic, I tried several times to smash my Ferrari FXX into a wall with more than 200km/h, only to witness how it got away with only a slightly crumpled front and damage to the paintwork. One might fear that there was another developer who had made a shortcut in programming, but actually Turn 10 has done all modeling work, it just requires too big an accident to show it. The problem is not something that can not be fixed with a patch, which I hope is ready shortly after the game's launch.
