Soundtrack should be ditched entirely because any normal racer will turn it off during gameplay and replays anyway. It would save a lot of disc space too.
Just have Lance Hayes' OST playing during menus and photo mode.

I hope wallpainting (an amazing detail back then) will comeback on the Xbox 720. Speaking of which, I know we've got Forza 4 around the corner but I seriously can't wait to see Forza 5/GT (6 or 7 ?) on nextgen. T10/PD are already outputing incredible stuff out of 5/6 years old hardware but they'll benefit massively from the new tech.

Yeah, turning off the music while racing is one of the first things I do.

And if so, does that mean that Turn 10 wasted a shitload of time making an unofficial version of a real-life venue official? Time, energy and resources that could have been spent updating Sunset and spending what's left on a brand-new track instead? One from Belgium, perhaps? Or from NSW?

I liked Sunset, and it had more ribbons than Indy and could be raced in reverse.

To sum up: is Indy just gonna feel like Sunset with new trackside assets?

At any rate, on your map, your line for New York seems a bit skewed. The marker for it is more over land than near water where NY is. It actually looks slightly northwest of Mass which is Vermont, MAPLE capital. So shouldn't that be "Maple Valley"? Just another thought.

Awesome news all around. I personally don't care much about night racing or weather. Wet conditions would have been fun though.

So if you are lvl 50 do you get all the cars in that list or just the one AT lvl 50?

New York is my least favorite track in F3. Good riddance.

We now have layers for accentuating bumps and cracks in the camera, based on the car physics. We even have new layers for heightening the perception of wind buffeting at high speeds. Combined, the tracks are noticeably more bumpy and engaging.

This sort of has me worried, is this the blood splatter of racing games? I didn't notice anything like this in the videos I watched.

500 cars, 320 from Forza 3, 90 from the Forza 3 DLC and 90 new cars.
25 of them are AutoVista cars (not 50).

They didn't have enough time, power and data to provide a satisfying night racing and weather experience.

Ah, ok. I have owned and played through every Forza game and to this day I've never gone online with them. For me the draw to Forza is all of the tuning and customization so I typically just spend hours on end effing around with my cars and I never really get around to jumping online.

What's the consensus as far as the multiplayer goes in Forza?

How many cars and tracks are in Forza Motorsport 4?



Forza Motorsport 4 will feature 500 premium cars on Disc 1 and 2. It’s roughly 300 cars on Disc 1 and 200 cars on Disc 2. There are approximately 320 cars carried over and updated from Forza 3 as well as approximately 90 cars carried over and updated from Forza 3 DLC. The remaining 90 are so cars are new to Forza 4. Starting at launch, we are currently planning to add ten cars per month via DLC Add-On packs—this will include the Day 1 American Muscle Car DLC pack (free via a code to LCE buyers) as well as new packs starting in November.

There are no tracks on Disc 2. There will be two environments available for DLC on Day 1. Every new copy of FM4 will include a code to download these environments for free: Top Gear Soccer field and Benchmark Test track.

We chose not to update a small number of our tracks and ribbons to use our new engine. As a result, there have been two environments cut from Forza—New York and Sidewinder were not updated to work in the new engine. The long version of Amalfi Coast was also removed, though the short version remains with some small gameplay modifications. In addition we have also removed the Bugatti version of Le Mans Circuit de la Sarthe, though players will still be able to race both the full circuit and the Old Mulsanne circuit. In addition to tracks like the brand new fictional Alps track which we showed at E3, we have also added Hockenheim as well as new tracks yet to be announced.
