Full trailer for The Tomorrow War (July 2nd on Prime)

It looks fun to me.

ps. "70% of draftees do not return"

Of course, you guys drop then from the sky without a parachute...

Plot is idiotic. And you're telling me they just teleport them back to the future from the sky on a random skyscraper with a convenient water filled pool in a dry post apocalyptic world? I love dumb action movies but they keep getting dumber..

I'm starting to understand why the international market makes movies suck.

This is a Will Smith summer blockbuster from 1996 with overly simplistic dialogue that allows 6.8 billion people on the planet to understand the plot.

Well at least it's actually aliens, given the last few seconds of the trailer. I hate it when there's all this buildup and it just ends up being evil "future-humans" or cyborgs or some shit.

Seems entertaining enough, will watch.

Just finished it. I enjoyed it, though it's definitely within my tastes.
If you're into a sci-fi action/war/alien movie this should satisfy you.

I watched half of it last night and fell asleep.

The alien design is pretty cool, though.

Edit: watched the rest of it. It's not bad - a solid 6/10. The action sequences are rather exciting and some of the visuals are actually really great. But the science fiction parts are mostly dumb and felt like they were straight out of a Roland Emmerich film. The volcano fanatic kid is the one that finds out where the aliens came from, stuff like that.

I also felt like the first minute of the movie was completely unnecessary and spoiled one of the most visually shocking scenes in the film for literally no reason. It was like a modern trailer that shows 10 seconds of the trailer before the actual trailer plays. Just... why? I guess for folks with short attention spans? "If you stay with us for the next 30 minutes you'll get to this sweet scene!" -_-

Hands down my fave shitty movie in 2021

this movie i swear.. started as an alien 4 (aliens arrive on earth)

fuck even the promeuteus story is in this
movie.. Anyway.. they told the writers to go fuck off.

then they went to amazon and netflix to sell the idea.. amazon paid more
Then they changed the aliens with the monsters.. and BAM you got this movie..

This is the best alien film we got 😂

So this movie had a sequence shot in downtown Buckhead where you can see the residential building I live in. I'm so famous!

Anyway, this was a lot better than I thought it would be.

Apparently it's stupid but it's fire.

Looking forward to watching it tomorrow. A Youtuber I watch was shocked it's the same production studio as the newer Terminator movies. Nice to see them get some positivity around them.

Guys the story/plot/narrative left much to be desired, but the alien creatures were kinda good. The film, overall, was decent. It was a nice enough sci-fi flick.

Story and dialogues as usual suck ass but if you enjoy a sci fi movie give this a try, I really enjoyed it. I was pleased that they didn't just show everyting in the trailers, the aliens are pretty nasty.

Wow that's two hours I'll never get back.

When you have to lift ideas from the terrible The Thing prequel you know you have problems. Chris Pratt going toe to toe at end was laughable. Poor JK Simmons. I can only assume he had a tax bill to pay.

Some fun set pieces and wicked enemy design.

Could have used more gore, and less comedic relief.

Turn your brain off and enjoy

That last act is pretty rough. Enjoyed the first 2/3 a lot more than the last part. Overall, quite a dumb movie but mostly enjoyable.

Has some great individual scenes, the stairwell scene where they first meet the aliens is a standout, but the overall pacing is just off, like Army of the Dead it takes too long in the beginning setup, and it just drops momentum for these midmovie father/ daughter scenes that c'mon, I dont care about this, its not why Im watching this movie. Plus Chris Pratt just seems to be kinda sleepwalking through this whole thing.

Solid movie enjoyed it a lot, enough content in it.

Story wise, full of holes lots of things don't really make sense. They really went out of there way to just deliver a action type of movie, u basically got to turn your brain off and just enjoy the spectacle.
However actors in general where good, main actor was decent. Not really his movie i would say he lacks drama acting. U can really see this clearly as its a tom cruise kind of movie how much tom cruise really adds towards these type of movies through his acting.

CGI was absolute fantastic and the aliens where also really really well made which carried the movie big time.

Would watch next one.

"THERE'S YOUR ICECUBE!!"

Well, dispite the issues regarding it's script, writing, overly noticeable soundtrack and the very over the top yet straight played emotional scenes I ended up liking my time with this movie. I liked the actors which seemingly put in effort and had fun. Creature design was better than average which was a pleasant surprise, especially their reveal in the staircase scene

Lots of cliches and predictable dialogue as well as ... well.. I can keep going but who cares. Suspending disbelief at Max lvl and enjoy the ride I would say

Oh that one establishing (?) shot when you know who falls was pretty epic lol. Reminded me of the DOOM boxart

Sorry, but a 6/10 is a hard pass for any sane person lol
Um, no. The film review scale isn't completely fucked like the videogame review scale. A 5/10 ACTUALLY means "average" for films, which makes a 6 above average. As opposed to a videogame where a 5 means it's complete shit and 6 means it's slightly less shitty but still shit.
