People want more warnings? :lol

The fact of the matter is the show is now mixing material from all the books, so a TV show thread with marked spoilers is fucking useless. Deal with it. Either read the books or stay in the other thread.

The title has unmarked spoilers and season 4 in it, what more of warning do people need. If you are only watching the show, you are going to be spoiled no matter what.

Game of Thrones blah blah NO BOOK SPOILERS blah blah

Game of Thrones blah blah BOOK SPOILERS blah blah

All I'm suggesting is that the two thread titles be more distinctive, it would cost absolutely nothing and keep some people from making a simple mistake. Would it be such a problem if this thread was called "A Song of Ice and Fire discussion of GoT's Season 4"?

I read the books, I don't give a damn about spoilers. I just think if something simple could be done to help people who haven't read the books, why not?

Nobody is asking for marked spoilers, please keep up. :)

I have to LOL @ people saying Dinklage is phoning it in. What a ridiculous comment.

Honestly? People thought these scenes were graphic? They dragged on, yes, but they weren't anything close to being graphic.

You know you've won an argument when you put "LOL" in response to a post. Even better, you could have responded with just a gif to show how strong and detailed your point is.

Save for his performance during the Blackwater episode in season 2, Dinklage has had rather flat delivery on several of his lines, and he's been overshadowed by several other actors on the show (Dance and Coster-Waldau in particular). The only strong performance I can think of from Dinklage this season was the wedding episode with Sansa, and even then, that's hardly emmy-worthy. And when I say that he's phoning in his performance, I don't mean that he's not still doing a good job. But I do get the impression that he's not putting as much effort into his performance, and that he's resting on his laurels based on his season 1 performance and emmy win.

Dinklage wasn't given good material to work with in Season 2 or 3, that's just the way it was. For S2 espcially it was a huge disservice to him and his character because as far as I'm goddamn concerned A Clash of Kings is the The Book of Tyrion.

He was pretty good, but there are a lot of other actors more deserving of a nomination this season, IMO.

Fair enough, that category is so outrageously stacked that it could be completely different than it is now and it would be a list of great performances. Even on Game of Thrones, until season 45 when everyone is dead, there is going to be a massive cast and plenty of stellar performances. Fan will debate which of those performances they think are superior.

For the record, if I had to choose a single supporting actor and actress from Season three it would be Nikolaj and Michelle instead of Peter and Emilia.

Just wanted to post that GIF lol

This really should be done for the next OTs. Would stop people from wandering to the wrong threads.

Even if we really did just call the TV thread "A Storm of Swords, Pt. 2 TV Series Thread." you would think non-book readers don't even know what it is, so they would never click it, but they'd manage to do it somehow. :lol

But yeah, I agree on calling it something that's so intrinsically book related that nobody could ever get confused.

Just having the spoiler policy start the title would be an improvement. Currently both titles get truncated to the same "Game Of..." in my browser tabs.

Wait are they calling Dany "Khaleesi" at the panel? :P I don't think "Dany" or "Daenerys" has been typed once during this coverage.

Pretty sure Gleason is going to nail Joffrey's death scene. The change from cruel, uncontrollable monster to scared kid who just wants his mom to save him... Could be a high point for the series.

I'm going to miss him on the show... Not sure Lena is up to the challenge of portraying Cersei's descent, nor to I think the writers are up to it, so losing Gleason's gleeful, spiteful, cowardly malice could leave a big hole in the cast.

Yeah, I'm sure that's why they've amplified the distance between Cersei and Joffrey and his treatment of her. So that it looks especially pitiful when he's going "mommy, mommy".

Man, I was apparently getting way ahead of myself in hoping for a Red Viper casting.

I am actually much more attached to Joffery and Robb after watching the TV show. So it is a shame.

Also I am not looking forward to Tyrion leaving the capital.
