Perhaps bigger than the game itself is the people who are making it. Genji is the first project from Game Republic, the independent group of developers formed last year by former Capcom producer Yoshiki Okamoto. There's been much interest in what Game Republic would produce as their first title, and this is apparently the first of many planned collaborations with Sony Computer Entertainment taking the publishing role.
More details on Genji will be revealed at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show, scheduled to begin on 9/24. Stay tuned for more then.
