Alright, so today I had an AWESOME Gears moment.
I'm playing guardian on Avalanche, and my leader and the rest of my team has died. I'm near the shield, and I go near one of the spawns where I two-piece the leader. Then I see three other guys heading towards me, one with a mortar so I decide to stay inside. Then another guy comes from behind and I proceed to blow him up with a shot gun. Then the other three start shooting so I run into the spawn area, in cover. The mortar guy blindfires, and knocks me down. As I'm down, I get shot at. When I get up, there is a guy right above me. Some how as I get up, I melee him and then blow him up. I'm still really damaged, but I roll to the right where I see the mortar dude, where I manage to blow him up with a shotgun blast. Now there's one guy left. Can I do it? Well first I heal off, and then go into a shotgun battle with him. I can only see the most impassioned look on a face I have ever seen. As he look's into my eyes, I an tell that he is upset that I murdered four of his brothers. He wants revenge, and he wants it now. He fires a shot, BAM! I roll to the rightt and dodge most of the bullet. I tell myself it's now or nothing, so I fire a shot straight into his chest KAPOW! He grunges as he feels the pain of the bullets entering his skin. The wound his too much, his next shot is a complete air ball. I take one last shot to finish the deed... He is down. He is on his knees, begging for mercy. As he raises his hands up in defense, I look into his eyes. Despite just fighting to the death with all our mights, he is coming to me as a brother, forgetting all species differences. I look deep into my heart, trying to find enough reason to save this poor soul. Believe me I tried, but in the end, the deed must be done. I flipped him on his back, where he would breath his last breath. With one final blow, I crush his skull under my foot. The blood spatters everywhere, but I have won. I have defeated the Locust, and the General tells me how proud he is. Today... We tasted the sweet sweet taste of victory.
