No I was instructed to redeem at redeem.geforce.com and then it identifies the product and you sign into your microsoft during the process

Just wanted to post an update.

Got a response from Nvidia. They told me to kick rocks.

They did mention they appreciated me buying a Titan X and being a loyal customer for over 11 years who spent thousands of dollars on their hardware over the years, but apparently a game code which likely costs them a small fraction of retail price is too much to give in return.

Oh well. It was worth a shot. I'll just keep my eye out on the BST thread.

Thanks for taking one for the team, guys. I had already gotten a code on the BST thread, but was curious to see how Nvidia would respond. Can't say I'm surprised, though :-/

It's retailer specific. IIRC Best Buy typically does not do these promos, but you can try emailing them.

Note that it also doesn't apply to every card, so make sure to check for the promotion before you buy. So just buying a 1080 from Newegg isn't enough, the item page needs to mention the promotion.

If you're running 1080p, just get the 1070. Get the 1080 if you're at 1440p+ or 120hz+

never used ebay to buy a code before. I got my 1070 armor on the first of the month. 30 bucks aint bad at all and he sent it within 10 minutes. At least I will have something to test my card on pretty soon.
