Is Diluc any good? I don't really like the slow, big ass swords but eh.
When do we get the free character? Will it be random or...
Diluc is very powerful. Its not slow, all claymore chars have claymore atk speed. You can cancel auto attack animation with your elemental skill, making some sort of combos. Its pretty neat.

I'm kinda torn right now. I'm sitting at around 70 rolls in on the limited banner, at the 50/50 pity. Xiao mildly has me interested, and I already have Keqing, and her Constellations are kinda meh. I'm also mildly interested in Hu Tao. Do I keep going and see what I get, or just wait....hmm.

Playing Xiao with his signature weapon and unlimited Ultimate made me realize how mediocre his actual gameplay is.(and how cool he looks with his mask on) I'm glad that quest enemies died in 1 hit. Otherwise I would felt sick thanks to all that jumping/ plummeting.

Xiao does less damage than my Razor, but I have a 5 star and a few constellations on Raz and a shitty lance on Xiao. His charge plunging spam is a really stupid and boring way to play him, not sure if the devs intended for it to be the correct way to play - maybe they'll tweak something?
Said so, I don't regret pulling him at all and I was caressing the idea of trying to get his C1 or the friggin' Jade Spear. As I said, my main DPS is Raz, who is slow and deliberate in his attacks. I'm loving the change of pace of Xiao's fast combat and great mobility. Plus, he's got a cool design and he's neither a waifu nor a trap. What more would I want?

Venti ultimate updraft basically gives you Xiao's plunge attack with any other character, + any element you choose. Sort of reductive but true I think.
I'm also at about ~70 to pity on the banner, and tempted. He looks like he could be fun/useful in open world, and doesn't annoy me. That said, based on the trial and his exorcism quest actual gameplay does seem to be a jumpblur. Do like how he's fast though.

Actually guy is trying too hard for no reason. Sure, the run is perfect, but I did almost the same with only 3 fast ones escaping using only towers. Fire + Electro and you can ignore your character entirely. Genshin really loves its
combo.

At least it wasn't a Qiqi constellation I guess. I'm in a primo spending hold now until I see what's next after Hu Tao's banner. Whenever I get another 70ish pulls saved up, it's a guarantee banner character. I guess I can always hope that electro gets the Geo treatment and becomes good/useful.Now pull on her banner. I was doing the event quests today and I've gotta say they were pretty boring. You just go from place to place, listen to longwinded exposition, grab items, defeat a handful of enemies... It's not exactly fun. There was this quest where a woman gives you a lantern to give to her childhood friend, and for a minute I thought we were going to have an actual story. He was sad when he heard she couldn't come herself because she had to go to her husband. I thought we'd get some sad story about a failed childhood crush, but nahh, you just help him by grabbing some planks and then nothing happens. I was so confused. Did I miss something?

I love electric cat already.She is amazing for open world exploration imo. I doubt that they will nerf knock back or make electro in general as strong as fire.
I think we should wait and see what they can do with Raiden. Ganyu and Diona showed that there's no good or bad elements/weapon types, it's all about good or bad characters.

Hmm, I guess I was expecting more standalone short quests like the ones we got today. Perhaps you're right and they'll continue this plot with the worker and his friend.
I mean, call me a weirdo, but that plot was literally the closest thing to interest I had throughout all these quests. Mechanically they're boring af, so I'd appreciate if the stories are at least passable.

Hah, to each his own. Personally I always enjoy making sacrifices, serving Dark Gods and killing innocents. Genshin can be fucking grim and I like it. Man, I miss old Bioware and Obsidian games...

Just had an idea (can't play the game btw) - when you go to get the huge incense burner for the fake yaksha quest - they could have made it an anemo slime balloon escort quest .. that would have been fun

Other than faster load times, I don't think it will add anything else. Lod times are already better than PS4 on the PS5 right now.

At it's heart, GI is a mobile game. The "Native PS5" version is probably just going to be a port of the PC game, which currently doesn't go higher than 60fps, even though it isn't difficult to run.
Maybe future updates will allow for higher frame rates, but I doubt that money is what is holding back that option.

As I said before, If Sony is helping with money I can't see why. Sony was marketing this game since the BETA. Yes, if Sony is not helping is probably a PC port, without any PS5 advantage, so no much a effort taking into consideration the BC mode runs at 60 fps.
I prefer to believe Sony is doing because he can put his DualSense to work. All hypothesis
