Literally everyone who loves it will tell you you haven't seen the best stuff it has to offer within 7-8 hours.
If it's a 'big bag of meh', why would you want to pick it up in a year or two? If it was a 'big bag of meh' surely you wouldn't even accept it if it was given to you.
Well, it doesn't need to require skill if it's satisfying. It did lose some of its lusters after a while but there is nothing that compares to it when it comes to traversal in open-world games, it's a unique quality to Spider-Man, it sets it apart. Overall, the web-slinging, fighting, and navigation mechanics (point jump, attachment to buildings, etc.) is an absolute masterclass in gameplay mechanics, it's must have taken a massive amount of work to get all those systems to work as well as it does. Now, that doesn't mean the game is amazing, I think the 87 on Meta is about right, but if you try and boot up that game and sling around a bit, it's hard not to get impressed by what they pulled off.The webslinging required no skill. On one hand, since it’s going for a mainstream audience it makes sense, but if you’re looking for something engaging beyond the initial excitement of swinging, this isn’t it. Traversal needed some work too. It settled close to what it probably should have been though.
Lol what a joke. Guess this was made for dumb burgers after all.
lets get a gofundme going to sponsor videogameoutlets to give it a 110.This is a sucker punch game, and all sucker punch games are fun but not master piece tier.
84 is a good score, and low 80's is the sweet spot for the recent sucker punch games.
Days Gone is a pile of garbage. Don’t compare that trailer trash to world class game that is TLOU2. Any developer with a credit on TLOU2 will be able to find a job elsewhere quite easily. They’re at the top of industry whether you like it or not. Can’t say the same for Days Gone which is a sale game at best:
And everyone else will tell you that you’re doing it wrong or it’s a bad game if you need to stay with it for over eight hours for it to get “good“
For the record I love DG. Got the plat. Replayed again on Survival+. Incredibly fun game and I was on board within the first hour.
Fuck that. We need a simple, gamey, apolitical romp after that. A game made by developers who actually want us to have fun.Sony should have delayed this game to be farther away from TLOU2.
Any word of hot chics in it?Fuck that. We need a simple, gamey, apolitical romp after that. A game made by developers who actually want us to have fun.
85 average
I meant an average of review scores85 is B+ which is far above average. 70 is average.
There’s plenty of other reasons why days gone sucks.
Now this is a shit take, cherry picking that clip that is intentionally trying to show the game in a bad light is highly disingenuous, you can like or dislike a game and perfer another over it but do it honestly.
Higher than all the Assassins Creed games.... higher than Fallen Order, the same score as Uncharted Lost Legacy.85 is B+ which is far above average. 70 is average.

The same meta as Gears 5.
The important thing is that the gameplay is fun, reviewers keep saying the combat is amazing. The other thing is that the game world is great, full of stuff to find and absolutely stunning.
The story, characters and so on can be improved if they make a sequel. Great start.
A new game + with exclusive armors and swords etc would be awesome, much like GOW did. This game isn't hard enough? That's something they can patch. They can make enemies a little more aggro, up the damage from enemies or certain enemies. They can. Also nerf the stealth weapons and arrows easily too. I'm sure they will patch in a New Game+ with all these features.
So list them instead of cherry picking and do it in another thread! There’s plenty of other reasons why days gone sucks.
Asking the real questionsAfter all the talk of recent American game characters being unattractive, are there any attractive chics in this game? Lol. Were Asians not hot in 1272?
Again....honestly who cares about scores? read/watch the actual reviews and see what they like don't or like about the game. Based on most reviewers the biggest take way I got is the combat and exploration is great fun but the story is basic but I kind of expecting that since none of the Sucker punch's games had very deep story but they were absolutely fun to play (for me at least).....so based on that its easy buy for me.85 is B+ which is far above average. 70 is average.
I'm playing Lost Legacy at the moment so I can't say too much on that.Man, I kinda don't want to admit all the games you listed are mid to me lolblack flag sailing is DOPE
Again....honestly who cares about scores?
They put way too much weight in to score and kind of ignoring their own preference and taste.90% of the people in this thread
90% of the people in this thread
TBH I was just worried that the game went down to mid or low 70's..... the moment I saw 84 in the meta, I was relieved and happy. I knew the game was my type of thing and that I needed to play it otherwise.Thats not true at all. I read most of the reviews and I sure some here do the same. If you missed my previous post, I called IGN for saying in less than 5 seconds of his review mention Assassin Creed even when they give GoT a 9/10.
You're making mistakes from reviews to scores. This thread is about both.
I'm playing Lost Legacy at the moment so I can't say too much on that.
I just finished Fallen Order, I liked it but it was unpolished and the combat was lacking in many respects... still decent.
I usually stay away from AC series, last one I really enjoyed was the Ezio trilogy.
Anyway, I think it's clear that Ghost lays waste to any of those in terms of gameplay....which is what I am looking for right now. Where it falls down for some is the main quest and some find Jin to be a bit cardboard or something.
I honestly can't remember the last time I was this hyped for a game.
I'm probably guilty of writing off games when they score lower than 80 or 75.... I really should open my mind a bit. I'm sure I'm missing things that I should experience....I was just being broad and general, 84 is a great score especially considering critics are getting fatigued with big open world games. My GOTY 2019 has 71 on Metacritic.

I think you're approach is right. I wish demos were still a big thing.
Oh god 50 hours? I asked for more single player games but not drawn out ones
To be fair, Days Gone has wacky progression. They give you a shotgun in the tutorial stage, then it takes it away and leaves you with unrealistically weak weapons that make the combat feel off, and the A.I. of the humans is so weak, where they don't respond or can't hear stuff unless it's right next to them, making the combat feel budget off the bat. And they don't throw hordes at you for a long time, add to that, the opening deep forests are the worst places to travel around on your bike. The game was too ambitious, the story is massive and they structured the game as a long-winding RPG of sorts, rather than an action-adventure game.He turned the game off before fighting a single horde unless he went off and attempted one under-equipped or something. I was also on board within the first hour but there are people who need to get to the meatier stuff and are used to open world games being the same content repeated over and over, Days Gone excels at making the game feel like it truly advances the more you play.

I finished it and I feel it's extremely underrated, especially looking at its meta score, but if they involved hordes in the first hour or so, started you out in the second or third area, gave you satisfying weapons, cut out parts of the story and polished up the remaining parts and all the bugs and oddities, the game would be viewed a helluva lot better. Because there is a lot of great things in that game. It's just too big and unruly and ambitious.
But what Bend Studios managed to put together was incredible considering their previous work, that was not an easy game to pull of, and in some ways, they did manage to create something great. I'm very happy that the game sold well and many loved it.
Then just do the main quest

I somewhat agree, but I can understand why some won't. I really wish they removed those lines Deacon always utter though. It's so weird to ride past an enemy outpost, even when you just go past it, and Deacon yells "AAHHH THESE RAPIST SONS OF BITCHES IM GONNA KILL THEM ALL AHH" for the 20th time lol.I liked it how it is because it felt like I was legit becoming more badass and the game more chaotic as it went, the progression felt more meaningful than in most games I play.
