How is Slender? I bought the DnD pack and the Legacy of Kain pack, and I'm looking at Slender to top it off? Worth five bucks?
No. They did this last year too. On the Winter Solstice, and now the Summer Solstice, they put out almost every individual daily deal they had run or were going to run for a special 24 hour promo. Last Winter I remember them having only one or two special bundles afterwards that had not been included during that special 24 hour promo, I might expect the same here during this sale as well.Is this the last day of the sale?
I also want to get System Shock 2 and I don't think you must have played 1. In fact I've never heard anything about System Shock 1, everybody is just talking about System Shock 2. So I guess you're good to go without having played 1.Is System Shock 2 cool to play without playing 1? Is it likely to get much cheaper than this?
No, the sale ends on July 5th.Is this the last day of the sale?
According to the user reviews on GOG.com it's not that good. Many people say it's not that different to its predecessor "The 8 Pages", which is freeware. So I think it's not worth it.How is Slender? Great game choices, especially Oddworld! Which ones did you get? I assume Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus and what is the third? Munch's Oddysee or Stranger's Wrath (HD)? The Abe games are the best, Munch is a horrible PC port (at least it was the last time I played it), but soon a revised HD version should be released (Steam owner get the update for free), similar to Stranger's Wrath HD update. Before the HD update, SW was also horrible on PC, now it's very well optimized for the PC platform and a pretty cool game (although I haven't played that much yet, my backlog! -.-).
EDIT: I see, only SW HD is available on GOG. Good choice man, good choice! Definitely better than Munch's Oddysee.

I played it for the first time a few months ago, and never played the first, and I loved it![]()
So, is King of Dragon Pass any good? Looks interesting.

How's Nox? I wanna play a Diablo clone where I just kill shit, and it's sweet.
A good soundtrack would be nice, too. I don't know why it's so difficult to find WRPGs with soundtracks that aren't generic orchestral shit.
Why would you want to bound those DRM-free games to Steam?
You're a monster.
I think I'll pick up the D&D bundle.
I really want Planescape: Torment. What other games in that bundle are good?

Both Baldur's Gate games, both Icewind Dale games, Temple of Elemental Evil and the two expansions for NWN2.
Both Icewinds, both Baldur's Gates, ToEE, and NWN 2: Mask of the Betrayer.
You've never played the Oddworld games? Man, Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus are amazing! Great platformers with stunning artwork, atmosphere and so much humor^^ The game speak is a really cool feature and sometimes the puzzles are really challenging!Yeah, I went with Stranger's Wrath since I missed out on it in the PS2 era. Heard nothing but good things, I'm looking forward to getting into the series. I also think it is more expensive on PSN and my PS3 is kaput so these games will hold me over. The other two were cheap so I just threw them in. I've actually never played any Oddworld games, so I figured to start with the classics.
I can only speak to the original Myst. I hated it. Not enough clues as to what you need to do, and there were a bunch of levers and switches that changed things in rooms you weren't even in, so there's a lot of running back and forth trial and error type of puzzles.Edit: Are the Myst games good?
Don't Starve is the only game that comes to my mind that is that new, and a decent amount of people seem to like it.What is the best game newer than 6 months old and under $10 in this sale?

It's only available as abandonware at this point. Sucks to skip it, but it's not absolutely required. Soul Reaver is a good starting point.I bought the Legacy of Kain bundle but no Blood Omen...
Is it available somewhere or is it okay to start the series without having played it?
Get FEZ and Sword of the Stars: The Pit and you get two new good games under $10.
Will the Wizardry games go onsale at any point? They seem to be among the few titles not discounted at all.

I'll be getting System Shock 2 for sure. But, hmm, all these other deals..
If Gemini Rue is any indication of how good the rest of those games are, yeah, it's very good if you like point and click adventures. But that's just an assumption based on one game. Hopefully someone else can give more detail.
Blood Omen is on PSN if you don't mind playing on your PS3 with a gamepad.I bought the Legacy of Kain bundle but no Blood Omen...

What does Sword of the Stars: The Pit play like? Can you compare it to another game? Hard to tell from the trailer and images.
I'm not a PC gamer at all but I spent over $50 on games to play on my laptop. With some recent Humble Bundles, especially the Telltale one, I've actually been playing PC games. I got a bundle with Deus Ex in preparation for the Human Revolution Wii U port. I also got the Myst and Legacy of Kain bundles as well as the Indie adventure bundle as To the Moon and The Cat Lady really interest me. Will probably pick up Pathologic as well. I was thinking of the first two seasons of Sam & Max to go with the third but I'll probably just pick up the Wii versions. Insanely good deals.
Well, which genre do you like more, point and click adventures, or open world RPGs? Should base your decision on that, and whether or not you played much of Geneforge and liked it. Yeah, FTL is worth it.OK GAF, showdown time. My buying spree continues, but I'm faced with a decision. I have two ~$10 bundles lined up, but I can only choose 1 (funds). I need a second opinion, since the two look similarly appealing in terms of content-to-price.
Which of the following is the most bestest?
1. Spiderweb Soft (+ Eschalon) bundle (I already own Geneforge 1-5, though);
2. Wadjet Eye bundle.
Also, is FTL worth it for $2.5?

That's tough. Both bundles contain incredible games...I can't decide! Guess it depends on what genre you're looking for at the moment.I like a measure of replayability, so I'd lean toward RPGs, but I'm also hankering for some decent oldschool point&click, since I haven't played any in a while.
