So every famous villain is going to be in retirement age when Bruce puts on the cowl. No wonder Batman seems so overpowered when everyone he fights is trice his age.

I know you're just kinda joking, but they actually do fit their age time line fairly well.

Bruce will be Batman in about 10-12 years time in the show...

Strange appears to be in his 50's/60's in the comics, and looks to be in his 40's in Gotham.

Penguin looks to be in his 30's in the show and is easily in his 40's in the comics.

Riddler is like late 20's in the show.

Fries (can't tell yet), but appears to be in his late 30's/early 40's and since the suit gives him the strength, he can be in his 50's by the time Batman shows up and be a formidable foe.

Crane is in his late teens in the show.

Obviously Selina and Silver are the same age as Bruce so that works out fine.

The only one that's off quite a bit is Dent. He's at least a good 15 years or so older than Bruce, when they should be around the same age.

The only person who doesn't fit the timeline age wise is Harvey Dent.

I'll say this much: Robert Downey Jr turns 51 years old in April, but you don't see people making jokes about Iron Man walking with a cane. :)

Also Poison Ivy and Hush are kids / teens.

Because he has a heart condition. It would be jacked up to make fun of him.

Another thought.

Who says Bruce has to become Batman at exactly age 25? I know he becomes Batman around age 25 in the comics, but they could have him become a very young Batman at age 20 or 21 in this show.

It's not too far-fetched considering how Alfred is already "training" him. And he's already been doing a lot of detective work in season 2.

Dent is fine being 13-15 years older than Bruce, there is precedence of the character being much older than him back in the Silver Age.

Well, going by the way certain other shows train their characters he certainly could be a top tier fighter in just a year or two.

Thank God they cut the Bette Kane scenes.
The original Batgirl as a 30 year old while Batman is like 14.

That would have bugged the he'll out of me, thankfully they thought better of it.

Spoiler-y photo from Gotham filming but...

Based on that photo, I wonder if we're going to see
The Joker / Jerome storyline
continue in the second half of Season 2?

Yes please! As I said before,
we do have Dr. Dullmacher who wasn't killed on screen so he is probably still alive. And I wouldn't put it past one of Jerome's "fans" that they would go so far to actually "become" Jerome, not only in personality, but also in looks. They could even bring back Cameron Monaghan like this, because it would be a different character that just happens to look like Jerome, even though Jerome was dead. Or just as Jim's personal ghost that haunts him now.

shouldn't have clicked on that gotham hashtag on instagram among the porn (wtf?) there was a major spoiler

big fucking spoiler you have been warned, I repeat again, big ! SPOILER !

Azrael is being played by James Frain (Theo Galavan)

Have nobody posted the first look of
Azrael
? He looks comic accurate, and cool!

Firstly, he looks damn good!

Secondly, I did not expect Gotham to have a strong Arabic-speaking following.

Fuck me, I love this series.

Had a weird yet cool idea for a crazy monster of the week episode,
Would basically start out Gordon investigating attacks/reports of a giant bat in Gotham,
This obviously leads to Langstrom..
Meanwhile Bruce has a decent focus this episode as for some reason the creature is attacking stuff close to him(first Selina, then Wayne Enterprises followed by Gordon and Fox).
Gordon solves the case case and brings Langstrom in for questioning, as this is happening the creature is attacking Wayne Manor.
We cut back to Gordon getting a confession, it isn't Man-Bat but a regular bat on Viper and he shows Gordon his research of a normal bat nearly human sized.
Immediately cut to a demonic looking bat attacking Alfred and seemingly killing him...
The creature then looks towards the camera, camera zooms out to show this was happening in a mirror, camera pans to show Bruce looking at the mirror as he then looks down at his monster hands.
We then hear Alfred calling to Bruce and suddenly we see an older Alfred talking,
We then see that Bruce in his 20's and Alfred is informing him that it appears the vaccine to Scarecrow's fear toxin was successful.

The Gordon and Bruce stuff was never actually connected, Gordon's case is really happening while the Bruce stuff is his biggest fears(Batman completely consuming him, getting loved ones hurt/killed) in the future early years of Batman.

Regarding the spoiler, I honestly thought that that was the direction they were going in, since they introduced the
Order of St. Dumas, with Galavan as its avenger. Galavan wrecking Gordon's face without breaking a sweat sweetens that deal, too.

Some of you guys already know this but...

Fun Fact:

Actor David Mazouz' birthday is February 19th. (Today)
Bruce Wayne's birthday in the early Detective Comics is February 19th.

Without getting too much into reboots and changes in DC Comics’ history, when Bruce Wayne first debuted in the 1930s it was said he was born on April 7. Later, in a letter column in “Detective Comics #494,” it was stated that the birthday was now February 19, though that was also washed away (potentially) by DC’s recent New 52 reboot.

Also, is it just me or is Bruce almost getting as tall as the adults on this show? It's like he's having a growth spurt all of a sudden.

So... was rewatchimg S1, and you know what I'd totally forgotten about?

Falcone manipulated Marconi into giving him Indian Hill.

That's gonna come up, methinks.

Maybe they'll do a time skip between one of the upcoming seasons. Or maybe Bruce will go away for awhile to train, like in Year One.

I wouldn't be against this. Have the show essentially become Year One. He probably won't be allowed to don the suit, but they can work around that.

Would be a nice contrast to the DCCU Batman.

I'm really loving Gotham Season 2 so far.

But for future seasons, I'd like to see Gotham borrow an idea from Breaking Bad and "Better Call Saul".

Those shows have scenes that go back and forth between the present and the future. In Better Call Saul, most of the show takes place in the present/past where Jimmy is struggling as a lawyer. But there are flashforward black & white scenes where he's working at a Cinnabon.

Breaking Bad did something similar. They had flashforward scenes foreshadowing events that would happen in later episodes, or later seasons.

I would like to see Gotham try a similar approach for future seasons. They can go back and forth between scenes that take place in "the past" and "Batman: Year One (the future)". They can show a much older Gordon and Bullock looking really beaten down, tired, and defeated in the flashfoward scenes. Show how things have really taken a toll on them physically and mentally.
