I want to be interested. Seems like an interesting world but the main character Gran is so boring in design.

I couldn't finish the anime because of how uninteresting the teenage boy hero with humble beginnings trope is.

Wish I could create my own character.

Meh, I never like create your own character, especially in a story focused game. Your character usually just hanging around silently in the cutscene
Even lamer.

She ain't even canon.
lolwat, Even before playing GBF, you first choose to play as Gran or Djeeta. Even in the anime, they portrayed Djeeta is more experienced than Gran. She already unlocked the row IV class, with the highest is row V class.

Even in GBF Versus, Djeeta is already using Eternal Weapons, which is really tedious to get

Finally a real Final Fantasy game. I can't wait.

It's like Final Fantasy meets Tales of. Day 0.

Plus that sweet P* Games touch.

This game looks great, but will it be enjoyable for newcomers story-wise? Is gameplay similar to Tales of series?

Looks like Tales Of + Phantasy Star Online.

Only other GBF games is mobile games and a Fighting game.

Relink is going to be a perfect entry for everyone I think.

Endgame content is supposed to be pretty good too.

Lots to appreciate about this game.

A lot of FFXI old staff, alongside Nobuo Uematsu(I think he composed for FF and might be legendary I dunno) and Tsutomu Narita, Art Director Hideo Minaba(some guy that did art design on FF5, FF6, FF9, Lost Odyssey) and heavy FF influences pretty much makes it more Final Fantasy then recent Final Fantasy.

The game starring 16 or more different party members with their own playstyle and class with level progression, full story campaign and 100+ side quests with different objectives sounds like the Final Fantasy many have been clamoring for.

Sorry I wasn't more clear.

Hey fair enough. It doesnt look like FF to me at all but thanks for the info, I did not know about all these guys involved in the project.

The only game I'm interested in February that I'm getting on Day One. Persona 3 Reload I'm waiting an year since it looks censored. Final Fantasy VII Reunion I'm waiting till it comes to Steam

Damn didn’t know persona came out that same month. I need a breather to catch up.

I’m dropping everything for Rebirth though.

IIRC, the staff who works on GBF is ex-Squaresoft

Yes, the story is no problem. This is just another retelling of the main story, most likely will start at the beginning.. I haven't played the recent Tales series, but if I remember Tales have you create your own combo pattern. Relink is more your typical action RPG. You can see the character demonstration from the older video:
