If you don't do them they come back. I don't think they're unlimited which bothers me. Has anyone robbed multiple armored vans already on the road? I haven't seen any recently. I can understand some of them not repeating but others like the armored van wouldn't make sense. It's such a cool little thing to do.I have a question. Those random encounters that show up with a flash to your mini-map and they're blue or red dots on the side of the road, if you don't interact with them do they come back?
I've ignored a few and it's hard to remember what your numbers were in the Checklist.

Ok, cool. I love doing it.Thanks.
Yeah I've robbed it twice. I found it in the same spot both times just before they were about to get in and drive off wherever.
Edit: I don't know where that location is, sorry.
It claims my fastest is 207.53 mph in a Banshee but that must be a glitch since it doesn't seem very fast. 2nd most (which is my real top speed) is 139.61 mph in an Adder.
I proudly stole and garaged the drunken movie stars car...
The Chop iOS app is the worst thing to have ever been made

Need to do this mission where I have to go to the top of Macies Bank(sp?) to activate it with Franklin. With that crazy thrill seeking dude. How do I actually get up there to activate the mission?
Any word from Rockstar yet about the custom car issues?
You could always climb to the top of the mountain and speed down it to increase your speed

Money is a huge issue in this game so far, at around 40%.
I don't quite understand why there's been a huge drought of paying missions since the first heist.

The Chop iOS app is the worst thing to have ever been made
Oh lord, the amount of bad feedback the app has been receiving has made me completely indifferent for the Android App's eventual release!
Btw are you talking from a technical perspective or from general/ concept?
As much as I love this game, I can't help but feel there were some curious design choices and missed opportunities. Screw collecting scraps and pieces of UFO, I'd rather there be a much larger number and variety of stores to rob like in Vice City, or specific cars to steal for money (also in VC). I wish armored truck robberies were more frequent and the like. This is a game that's begging for tasks like that that can earn you a decent chunk of change.
It's a free throwaway thing but they couldn't have made it less interesting or useful to use. Anyone annoyed that it's an iOS-only thing should be miffed only if they're the collectible-hunting sort; anyone who doesn't care about that really isn't missing much.

Ugh looks like there's no point in upgrading cars... shit keeps disappearing.
edit: how does property work? If i bought the towing company do I get money automatically or do I have to tow shit?
It depends. Some properties require work, others provide a decent cash flow.
For the towing company, it's the former. Enjoy towing shit.
Both. It looks hideous, all of its game elements are worthless (feeding/picking dog shit up, along with three terrible Flight Control knockoffs), and it doesn't add much to GTAV itself. Without it you're not able to use Chop to hunt for collectibles, but I don't think you actually do anything to get that reward beyond booting the app up. You can otherwise unlock three animations like having Chop sit or shake hands, which requires points you gain thoughout the day.

North Yankton Memories - Epic music.
Also, if people people aren't using Social Club, sign up for it right now.
I had some weird issues while playing today.
First the game really started taking its time loading buildings and textures when driving around.
Anyone else had these issues or is my old ass PS3 starting to fry?
still have not found a shop I can rob... :/
According to the guide, you can use a hammer and baseball bat as melee weapons.
Where do you find these?
Also mentioned in the guide are Molotov Cocktails, which are also in the trailer, and fail to make an appearance in the game.
Haha!
As I'm walking to the bus station and morning traffic is all around me, I feel like grabbing one of these pretty cars and take it to work
Fuck
GTA man
With such a large and detailed world that Rockstar created and the amount of effort they put into it, they definitely could of included more stuff to do, especially in the country-side.
Oh well, can always wait for MODS for the PC version for this.
They're looking into it, but patches are tens of thousands of dollars each and requires sometimes weeks of certification by MS and Sony. So they may wait to lump it in with other stuff in a bigger patch. Maybe when Online comes out.
I think the police response is way, way better than in previous GTA games.
I had three stars with cops swarming me and at one point I managed to break line of sight with the cruisers and choppers, drove my ass behind a factory building, got out of the car and took cover behind a nearby dumpster. My heart was racing because two police cruisers passed through the street and a few on foot cops were checking out the car I abandoned and searching the surroundings literally a few dozen feet from me.
And the second right before this single shotgun-wielding on-foot cop was about to check behind the dumpster, the search was called off and they left the scene.
It's great. Actually hiding somewhere works like a charm.
