Has anyone had a problem with the garage at Michael's place not opening? Mine is busted. It won't open from the inside or the outside with or without a car. I put a Porsche in it a day or two ago and it was there for a while inaccessible but now it's empty.

People are reporting all sorts of problems with the garages. Cars disappearing (and often not showing up at the impound either), garages not triggering, car upgrades being removed, etc. In my case I've actually had several cars I'd stolen and upgraded with Michael randomly appear in Trevor's garage after a mission. Much as I'd love to blame that on Trevor, it's just another example of how busted the garage system is right now. Rockstar's looking into it but it may take a while till there's a patch.

Thanks for the spoilers, for fucks sake. Why not explain the entire mission step by step while you're at it.

I apologize if that horrified you, but I tend not to consider pure mission logistics and non-story content as a "spoiler". Spoiler tags have been added anyhow.

Okay I'm done with the game. I love it. Still prefer TLOU overall but honestly I wouldn't be surprised or angry that GTA V wins.

Some things I didn't like though:
- Radio stations are meh
- GTA IV had more inside locations (Burger Shot, Cluckin Bell, Hospitals, etc). I enjoyed buying a burger and then killing everyone indoors.
- Anything involving the
FIB
in the story. They really brought the story down.
- Custom cars glitch
- A lot pop-in.
- Most areas were not taken advantage (Prison, the Military fort, all those factories or big chemical places) in the story. This caused a lot of missions to be in the city which I didn't like. However those areas may be used properly in GTA Online however I don't have high hopes for that.
- Most side characters are boring and forgettable. Only one I really liked was Lamar since his banter between him and Franklin was great.

Is there any way to restart a mission other than exploding yourself? Kinda spoiled the last mission trying to Google it.

Yes. Every GTA has done that..

Even the 2D games had car duplication?

The frustrating thing is that it seems like only the crappy cars get duplicated, and to a much larger extent than the good cars. Jump in a clunky-ass van and then every car on the road is a van. Jump into a sportscar and you still see a lot of trucks and sedans.

I can't imagine it'd be intentional at this point, just a shortcut for RAM limitations.

I still don't get the
FBI/CIA angle in the story. If the solution to the problem was just killing all the dirty FBI/CIA guys, then why didn't they do that immediately? Instead they run a ton of pointless free heists for these guys.

I wonder what DLC/expansions they'll have in the future.
If they go along the same lines as the GTA IV expansions, I hope they utilise the 3 protagonist mechanic in whatever it is.

Edit: My mistake, I misread your post.

Building big, recognizable, "landmark" areas in open world games and not using them should be a gaming offense punishable by law. I don't want to hear about GTAO either, because they'll never use those spots to their fullest potential online.

It's like the Checkov's Gun of game design. Don't show me stuff then not use them.

I decided to go back to the shrink for the first time in a long time tonight after
the wife just left me with the Yoga instructor, the boy drugged me and Trevor's come back into my life
. The mere fact that I just posted that is amazing to me. Kudos Rockstar.

Perhaps actual story DLC like Episodes from Liberty City? I wouldn't mind.

I would love to know this as well. I completed the assassination missions early on, and I'm not sure what to do about things like the golf club that now seam out of reach.

Stock market is really the only way. There are supposedly some thing you can do in-game to change the market values but the best bet is find a generic non story related stock that was trading high at some point and is now very low and buy as much as you can..it will eventually go back up and then you sell it and make a couple million dollars. Some people are convinced that if you cause harm to a company in general free roam in the game it will lower their stock value(on the LCN not the BAWSAQ), i dont think its been 100% proven though. I spend a good half hour going around blowing up the RonOil tankers and gas station and their stock did end up going down by 20-30% and eventually recover but that could have just been a coincidence.

Just finished the main story. That was a hell of a ride. Easily the best story I've played yet in a GTA game, IMO. I'll go back for all of the other activities and stuff, but not immeditately. I've been forsaking most of my other entertainment since the game came out, so I've got some things to catch up on.

This game is full of content that obviously got abandoned or left on the cutting room floor. There's a whole tutorial mission intended to teach you how to use and play with Chops, and then the dog is almost completely unused for the rest of the game.

There's a giant casino north of the city that you can't do anything with. I gotta imagine at some point they wanted you to be able to go play poker and blackjack and stuff.

It's something that bothers me when people marvel at how detailed the world is. Yes, it's detailed but so many of the details are completely non-interactive. You can find some weird alien hippie commune in the desert or a giant ampitheater for concerts, but there's nothing for you to do other than discover them.

Does Bawsaq work for anyone?
Mine doesn't move at all, I invested a lot of money in it, went to sleep a couple of time.
When I go to Social Club online, I see it's working.

I already logged into Social Club, and most of the stats seem to be correct, so that can't be it.
I can but stocks on bawsaq ingame, but none of them go up or down.

Anyone having the same problem, and if so, any solution?

I hate the term 'cover shooter'. I take cover in every shooter, it stops me from being shot. Unless it's like...Doom or something. But even then you duck back and fourth behind corners and the like. What kind of shitty shooters do you just stand in the open?

Cover shooters generally have a lot of waist high walls and objects around that you can easily hide behind, usually with a cover system.

Games like Quake. Doom, Unreal and Serious Same are the "shitty" ones where you stand/run/strafe in the open.

Michael
was in witness protection, no? I got the impression they had them backed into a corner.

This game just keeps getting better and batter after that shitty string of
car theft for that fucking rich dickhole

That's true yes, but then how does
killing all the FBI/CIA guys at the end solve the problem? I don't really understand what changed that made murdering everyone a reasonable solution when it wasn't before.

Would anyone here buy DLC music packs? Or if they were part of other DLCs packs?

Out of desperation, yes. But I'm not sure if that should be a thing. Next thing you'll know publishers will purposely scale back music quality and monetize the soundtracks of games.

I don't have high hopes for single player stuff. Easier to churn out multi packs..

During the preparation for the Union heist,
there's a mission where you have to steal that giant underground drill. How are you supposed to do it?

I felt like I basically had to cheat my way through, since there's no chance in hell of outrunning the cops in a lumbering 16-wheeler. I basically just had to abandon the truck, get out on foot, and go hide in an alleyway until the heat died down. Is there a more elegant accomplish the same goal?

I did it using stealth. Took out all the workers with a sikencer first. You still get wanted stars, but it takes a lot longer for the cops to arrive and you're able to hide before they get to you.

I don't understand stocks. Are the graphs next to the stock completely made up? Nearly every graph of a LCN stock makes it look like the stock is dipping down and shooting back up every day or every other day but I never see that when I check them.

Like BankOfLiberty for example. It's always in the green, has always been around $25, but when I look at the graph it says the stock sank down to $4 twice in the last four days then shot back up to $25, but every time I check the stock it's around $25 and never in the red.

GTA IV had exclusive Hip-Hop tracks that were tied to the DLC, but then again, those were full featured expansions.

Man I knew something was wrong. It's like the matrix. I saw 30 of 1 type of SUV. Bad sign.

Then I did the mission for the British tourist involving stealing the golf cart. Couldn't get rid of 2 stars. It was flashing for a good 10 min lol.
Yeah, the waves of cars are still there, a bit disappointing, but maybe memory issues.

I've been looking for any vid on YouTube that had the theme song but none have it except for one dude who actually covered it. Then I remember there was thread on his vids since he covered other GTA theme songs as well.

Speaking of the GTA V theme song. GTA V's reminds me a lot of GTA3's with a little mixture of San Andreas.

Has anyone else had issues on the PS3 version of the game with occasional freezing and severe pop in?

Disc version of the game. It'll occasionally freeze for around 5 seconds and then be fine again. Other times the entire world will be grey and will take a bit for models/textures to pop in.

Not good :(

I didn't like GTAIV's main mission string; dull and unimaginative. However, I had a blast with the online. All the game's systems, physics and mechanics came together much better than at any point in the single player.

I actually am enjoying V. If I like the online more than single player proportionate to how I felt about IV, it's going to something great. Once GTA Online is up and people upload their custom missions, that's when the real fun begins.

So did Lazlow's character just totally change personas between games? I don't understand, it's like it's a totally different person.

I was in a mission in Blaine and a green dot popped up. I went back over to the area and it was gone. What could it have been? I know there is bounty hunting and I wasn't near the area. Random thing line the Vine zombie?
