So the other day after I finished the
submarine
mission I switched back to Trevor. He was at the casino with the submarine parked right behind him. I should have took a picture.

It's a pity, since the great effort from the actors and all those involved with the production isn't matched by the juvenile writing. At some point the series needs to move past the Family Guy humor . . . but there's no incentive when it sells so well, and is received so favorably.

If you think this is Family Guy humor, I can't imagine what you think Saint's Row and Borderlands are.

Adventure game style writing wouldn't work with GTA. The gameplay isn't subtle so why would the humor be? It's not always supposed to be funny, it's just always supposed to be excessively satirical.

B. Always B. I assume this means you still have an old 360. It will blow your mind how quiet the slim is.

I actually had the first "s" model a while back. I had the arcade matte version, and the case had this weird melty-warped pattern to it. Loved how quiet it was, but had to part ways during a move.

Man, GTA needs to stay where it is. Not everything needs to take itself seriously. There are so few games that even try to be funny and comedic.

I'd miss the juvenile cynical humor if it went away. It wouldn't feel like a GTA game to me anymore if the world wasn't filled with low brow parodies of real companies, cars, street names, etc.

Part of the reason why everyone loves this series is because of the humor, GTA V just nails it, I don't see a serious, mature writing without that kind of humor work for the series.

Its ok, be careful with these kind of spoilers next time dude.

I have yet to encounter the other characters during free roam. I guess I will try to force it now.

You probably won't unless you actually go where you know they are. I've only encountered another character once and that was at Michael's house. I then got punched and killed because Michael didn't like me following him.

Jesus, Meltdown is the coolest shit. Man that was so awesome. Just as I'm kinda getting burned out on this game's story it suddenly throws a great curveball.

Did the "troll" mission afterwards, that was freaking hilarious.

Also - don't know who the girl from Non Stop Pop FM is, but I think I love her.

Just reflecting on the game and Franklin is definitely a needed character between MIchael and Trevor he's the buffer between the two extremes the other two bring to the game.

Has anyone been busted by the cops yet? I have over 70 hours logged in and I have only been wasted. The cops just want to kill absolutely everything it seems like. I'm kind of bummed out because of it. I always try to get away from being busted in the past installments, but it seems pointless now.

For real. They really hit a home run w/ GTA5. Gut busting laughs from start to finish.

I've gotten busted a handful of times. First time I was in a chase and I took a turn that I thought led to a shortcut and I ended up in a parking lot w/ barriers that I couldn't drive through or over. Mentally I just froze and they closed in on me.

Shiiiit, she's a supermodel? That's cool. She's always so happy and cheerful, and the track selection is sweet. It has Mojo, Stardust, Pet Shop Boys. Hell, they even have All Saints for fucks sake.

In between all the crazy IDM, electro and gangsta rap I love listening to this channel every now and then.

Yeah, it's easier to go out in a blaze of glory mowing down cops with the mini-gun until you die.

I think I've been busted once... and even then I had to actively go out to do so. Really frustrating that they take all of your ammo.

I've put around 60 hours in so far and still find myself marveling at the detail in even the remotest/out of the way places.

I notice that I find myself happily driving everywhere as well, and taking my time. I absolutely LOVED GTA IV - and have completed it six times now - but even in that game I jumped in cabs so many times. Though to be fair I did like using the cinematic cam in cabs, which is sorely missed in this game.

I'm already looking forward to my next play through of this and I haven't even completed it yet.

Can we share our cars?

I'm scared to customize any cars out of fear of losing them. I fully customized the default car for each character, but then right afterwards Michael's got stolen
by his son
. It also seems really dodgy on whether or not your cars get impounded if you abandon them. Or maybe it just takes way too long.

I spend 90% of my time in a random car that I've stolen. The other 10% is when I switch to a character and he's already in his default car.

Is there ANY way to skip the
torture section
? I skipped the mission as
Michael
and it skipped me straight to Trevor
torturing the guy.
I can't do this. It makes me too uncomfortable to play. I want to finish the games story but I've been at this for hours, I just cannot bring myself to do this. :/

Really? Just press the required buttons. It doesn't go for very long. You only have to
torture the guy once
with each implement, so about 5 times, doesn't take long.

Hmm.... I think my game bugged... Kifflom related spoiler

So I'm at the part of the quest where I have to go see the girl who's standing next to a wall with graffitis on it. I got out of the car and walked up to her but now nothing is happening. I can't move and nobody is talking... Ugh... Time to reload I guess.
