Is there a glossary anywhere in the game? I have no idea what Deploy, Brave:Strengthen means and have never gotten it to trigger.
My opinion: There shouldn't have been any microtransactions in the beta. All cards should've been unlocked from the start to test them.
Edit: New page; this gonna be good.
The only way I know of is to hover over the card for a it and the descriptions will come up.Is there a glossary anywhere in the game? I have no idea what Deploy, Brave:Strengthen means and have never gotten it to trigger.
If you're at a disadvantage because you have less kegs than closed beta players, shouldn't the matchmaking compensate for that disadvantage, if there is one?
Closed Beta.Open beta is basically the full version minus the single player. What you earn here is what you get at "release."

If you hover over the card it should pop up explaining what each of the terms mean.
There's some huge balance issues with the game when there's freaking five factions and I face only the same two over and over again.
Weather monsters, and nilfgaard. I've played up to 42 rounds won for dailies the past three days at lvl 9 in casual and that's all I freaking go up against.
It's not fun, I want to keep playing for the potential of new cards since the daily system is actually good. But to actually go through with it is freaking torture.

But for those ones:
Deploy - When you play the card from your hand.
Brave - When you play the card and it would keep you at a disadvantage in overall power.
Strengthen - Increase base power of the card (persists throughout game).
The only way I know of is to hover over the card for a it and the descriptions will come up.
But Deploy means when you play the card.
Brave means an effect will activate if your losing the game in total strength points after playing the bard..
Strengthen means that the cards base strength will go up.

I wasn't too bothered with the new weather at first, but after playing a bunch it is kind of tiring to see pretty much everyone just randomly having shoved in a bunch of weather cards into their deck now.
Can you have duplicate gold carda in the same deck?

I'm sorry, CDPR shouldn't have accepted money during CB. And yes closed beta players getting 100+ kegs over new players is a bit steep hill to climb

No, but you can use another gold card to revive them called Renew.
My advice to new players: avoid weekends at the moment. You will play against people with full decks and months (a year even) of experience, losing almost every single match. Peak times will hurt bad and won't be much fun, but in a couple of weeks this should all pass and return to normal.
New Players shouldn't play in general until CD Project Red says they're going to segregate the closed-beta players with 100+ cards from the actual player base for a good year or two to let the newer players catch up.The fact that closed beta players#saltgot 100+ kegs as compensation for dumping a lot of time into the closed beta is insane. At that point, you might as well not have bothered with a wipe.that weren't me, who waited for the wipe

Because the game is very fucking stingy to new players unless you got a shit ton of kegs from closed beta or are willing to spend money. HS is waaayyy more generous imo than gwent imo when it comes to packs.
Was this in ranked or casual? Did you have any success with it?
That's not the point, Gwent is a new game. Of course new players who want to get into HS now are far behind, the game is over two years old.
But HS was pretty inclusive when it first came out where the difference is with Gwent is it feels like the game gave preferential treatment to closed beta players. Where new players can't overcome it unless they want to spend money.
And yes again Gwent is more generous with packs, but as I've said before it means nothing if you get mostly garbage from them. As I've stated this is from my experience with RNG. But Gwent is stingy af with giving out anything above rares.
Honestly I prefer getting scraps the most when it comes to daily marks.
It is incredibly frustrating. Every player I'm going up against this weekend has a silver or gold border around their portrait, meaning they did pretty damn well in CB, meaning they have literally hundreds more cards than I do. Presumably we'll go through the same thing when the game releases: all players grinding up to level 10, so new players getting royally screwed over and losing the vast majority of their games. It's going to result in some really bad feedback during the first two weeks of the game launching, which might be a minor PR nightmare given that's the most important period for a game.
I think once we're past this two week period it'll be fine though. The majority of level 1-10 players will be brand new to the game, playing against each other in fair matchups. Mostly fair anyway, some will still drop hundreds of dollars on card kegs before they even get to ranked, but that should be rare. And same deal with NG and Weather decks: those should be balanced out long before the game launches for real. NG is disgusting right now, but ambush ST and consume Monsters were back in CB and they sorted those out nicely. Will just take time to balance.

I've been playing in PS4... no closed beta there, correct? I only started in the open beta and have won a fair share of games with my noob deck. Might just skip the PC version in release now if it is super unbalanced already with too many people OP.

PS4 only had 1 weekend to test it out yea. No full beta.
I am just curious but when was the PS4 closed beta? I was only aware of the xbox and PC. Was it recent? Cause I am sure the closed beta came out for xbox and pc first since last year I think? I am guessing PS4 closed beta was earlier this year?
Ragh Nar Roog is just bullshit card. First serious complain I got towards CDPR. Zero lack of common sense putting this in the game. What the fuck were they thinking...
I hope so. I don't blame people who played in the closed beta, but cd projekt for getting greedy to charge money in the closed beta. If new players keep getting crushed there will be no new player base for this game. This will happen naturally over time as veterans progress easily in ranked play.. Just give it a couple weeks.
I saw a lot of people saying this so I decided to craft it and put it in my weather deck. Waste of scraps, the only bullshit is how weak it is unless you run into a scrub who isn't holding clear skies.

Gold weather cards should be single-lane permanent.
Unremovable by anything, and balanced out by not being an insane 3 lane swing
They announced the rewards months ahead of time. I got 108 kegs and really don't have that many cards as I thought I would. I had a full collection in closed beta, now I can only really play 2 factions decently. But sure, blame it on not having enough cards if that makes you feel better. Nobody will have a full collection for weeks unless they pay a lot, and that's the same for every card game where you can buy packs. Maybe you should go back to Hearthstone where you get all those free packs for hours of gameplay!

A gold card weather is a 9 points swing, this is weak, and all you have to do is to use a bronze card in response.
I will add that you can have 3 clear sky while there is only 2 gold weather, your clear sky is not even a dead card if the opponent has no weather, and you have single lane weather removal + displacement tools + how you decide to stack your rows to manage classic weather.
Weather is annoying to play against / with, but I dont think it is out of control at all. As usual, the game is 5 days old in its current state, that's really a bad idea to jump to conclusion (and maybe I am wrong about weather cards).
That's not the point. They announced a wipe for closed beta. Why the hell would you get more than their avatar, maybe 1-2 kegs as "thanks" for playing in the closed beta when they said they were going to wipe all progress?
Again: At this point (when you give some players 100+ kegs) you might as well have not bothered with doing a wipe and just let closed-beta players with thousands of hours keep their collection and MMR so they wouldn't be stomping newer players dry.
Also good try fishing for me playing other card games and lumping me in with Hearthstone, which I have never fucking played outside of two rounds and uninstalling. Gwent players standard insult for people that have natural nitpicks with the game, I see.
Even if your opponent immediately clears it with clear skies, you're still up 6 to 9 points. And since your opponent had to spend his turn using clear skies instead of playing something else, that makes RNR essentially equivalent to a 14-17 point gold card (since the baseline for bronze cards is 8 points) - not the greatest for a gold, but still pretty good. So even if you immediately get countered, you still get pretty good value out of it. If you don't, you basically just win the round outright.
And that's the main problem really. Clear skies doesn't counter shit. Gold weather is basically no risk, extremely high reward so it just feels like total bullshit.
So this won't come out at a later date as version 1.0 or anything? This is the final release.

It's the same shit with Rocket League's seasons and I hate it there when it happens as well. Why they announce a wipe, don't bother with keeping collections bare so everyone is on "even footing" while letting the veterans rank up on their own merits instead of "lol you dumped hours into our closed beta, here's a thousand kegs as reward!" I'll never know. But I stick with unranked in general because I hate the competitive rat race there, especially as a solo player that will be facing full parties
So this won't come out at a later date as version 1.0 or anything?
No, the value is 9 points at most if you clear it right away. It's a shit gold card that only works if they can't clear it right away. Does that happen, yes. Do I want that card in my deck? Not really.
