In a week of "Yo dawg, lots of video game coverage is dubious", flying people out to a castle in Europe seems "wonderfully" relevant.

No. Not for the Press. Or at least it was not a press-only event. Fans were able to win a trip to it. (Fans from Germany, France, Uk, Spain(?) and another country) Frankie, Bonnie, Jess and Kiki were there and Jen Taylor who played as Halsey. And yes, I am extremely jealous at the people who experienced it.


Btw. The Warthog was built by a fans. It was planned to use for the Halo fan film Operation Chasity. Pretty rad.

I started my Reach>CE:A>H2V>ODST>3 playthrough last night.

Slim Reach console got red dot of death when i powered it on 15 x in a row to start with so that sucked.

Made it up to the "powerhouse" section of Nightfall. Framerate seemed to really Chug at certain points that iv never noticed before.

First encounter with the covenant

Now, now. You act like Reach stole your girlfriend, as opposed to not meeting expectations for multiplayer and campaign. It still is fun, and I'll prolly still go back and play the campaign on occasion. If having Reach is the price to pay for a more awesome Halo 4, I'd say it's worth it.

I don't see the harm (if the mods don't). This thread is about all Halo in general, whereas that is the Halo 4 thread. If some people don't like Halo 4 when it drops this will be a good place for them to talk about how awesome Halo 2 is.

Sorry i didn't get to play Reach yesterday, if you played it. My router broke...
Now i have a new one BUT i cannot access its control, uh, site/IP, so i can't adjust NAT settings, it seems... And i really don't want to ring the IPS's support, so fucking slow. Nor do i have rights to do anything, since i'm not the one ordered the connection.

I've been catching up on the changes to multiplayer and the meta game stuff they added and the only things that really concerns me are the kill streaks, perks and the flag carrier indicator. Kill streaks and perks typically have too large an effect on how people play and the flag indicator takes away a lot of tactical situations.

I'm not a fan of unlocks, but eventually you'll have everything you need unlocked and if they keep things in line, things should unlock relatively quickly.

Kill cams reveal snipers, so in an ideal situation, it wouldn't exist but bullet vapor trail in Halo seemed to do the same, effectively enough. I don't think it will have a huge impact.

I'm not sure how the see through walls ability will play out but from the video it looks like it obscures things enough to not be something I would use.

I think the biggest difference between modern Call of Duty and Halo is the gameplay and from the videos I've seen the core gameplay appears to be intact, so I'm still optimistic that I will have a good time with multiplayer.
