Bravo did a Q/A on thc
1.Did 343i employees know who you were before you started working with them?
I knew a large chunk of them from hanging out this summer and past events. There are a few who knew I was, as well. Getting started here was unbelievably cool and easy since I already knew so many people.
2.Do you have any Bravo fans at 343i?
I've got a bunch of friends, I certainly wouldn't call them fans. I hear that my videos circulated the office for most of the summer, which is pretty rad.
3. Do you know of any 343i employees that competed in an event? That you maybe saw back in 06,07,08,09?
Nope.
4.So how big is this sustainment team? 10?40?
Just the right size.
6. Has a 343i employee ever beat you at a 1v1?
There's a few people who are really good at H4, particularly one of the testers. I've only played legitimate Halo: CE 1v1s in the office, and am currently undefeated.
I have not yet played Frankie.
7. Have you guys ever had a tourny at work? If so, what were the prizes?
We have playtests for a variety of reasons, which are kinda like mini-tournaments. Prizes: Bragging rights.
Serious bragging rights.
8. Which halo game would you say is the most favorited by employees that you known so far?
Halo: CE. If it's not their favorite, it should be.
10. How many computer screens do you have at work work desk?
Not enough. I currently have 6 screens in front of me, including a Surface. Some people have more, some have less. I want more.
11. Is working for 343i like working for google? (candy/soda/pizza everywhere, people in pj's, everything super chill)
I've never been to Google, but I think they have a cargo net. It's awesome working here, and unbelievably chill. We've got a Tornado Foosball table (~$1500 table) and some pretty good players, along with lots of cool stuff that comes with being in a Microsoft building.
12. Does 343i have a mini museum that fans can go into?
We've got a super sweet display with a ton of Halo merch, no public museum though.
13. Do you think you can be featured in a halo Multiplayer Vidoc soon?
That's crazytalk.
14. Do you often play with co-workers outside of work for casual reasons and not to gather notes on gametypes/settings?
Yup. But, then again, I'm always gathering notes on gametypes/settings, so no, not really. One of the coolest things is playing a playlist that I helped build. I've said it a dozen times, but I'm pumped for Team Doubles.
15. Could we ever expect to see you at a Halo panel for a future release?
If there is ever a panel that involves discussion of things I worked on, then maybe so!
16. When half of the sustainment team doesn't agree on a change, how do you settle things? a MLG 4v4 best of 11?
Yes, best of 11.
17. Is there still some co-workers that have been there since 2001?
I don't know - there's a few who have been with the series for quite a while, but not sure about specific dates.
18. What do you think is the most interesting room at 343i and what does it look like, what does it have?
We have a room that's freezing cold. When it's hot, I go there. On a more serious note, the view of Lake Washington / Olympic mountains from our window each night is absolutely incredible - I've tweeted a few pictures of the sunsets and I'll continue to do so when they are particualrly epic. On most nights, everyone goes over to the windows to check out the sunset / snow capped mountains - it never gets old and is always f*ing beautiful.
19. Is there a former pro/semi-pro player at 343i? from H1-H3
Negative. If you know of one, please tell them to come say hi.
20. Will you be making a mini-documentary for the reunion of Carbon?
Haha, yes, absolutely. Ghost sounded like he was interested, and if I have time, I'd love to help with putting something like this together.
