Halo |OT3| Remember Reach?

A few days ago Juices, Kyle and I were playing Arena. We were all Gold and our random was some guy in Bronze. So sweet.

Thinly veiled stealth brag about being Gold.

Could always be worse, you could take a pic of your Onyx rank that is sideways because you're busy whacking it to the screen.

Was trying to work out some stress, so I loaded up Rock Band and dove into the clothing/instrument editor.

Behold, the Tashitar (only plays three chords) and the Devotee.

I'll try doing other people's emblems too.
Lol wow.

Which 3 chords? I prefer C, B minor and F#

Watched/listened to the first episode of Social Skirmish, it was pretty enjoyable and cool to hear different sides of the new gameplay changes for halo 4.

I'll be on tonight late after Game of Thrones if anyone interested.

Thanks man.

I'm hoping to get someone from here to go on the show from a more casual aspect of the game for an episode, we want all pov when discussing stuff.

7/10 = 0,7

0,7 and 0,705128205 are not the same.

Well now you're just being needlessly pedantic to the point I was making. Regardless...

I've come to the conclusion that 343 literally doesn't know how to update Firefight settings in Reach. As in, they got the keys to the car, but don't know how to drive it. They can duplicate playlists as with Anniversary, but don't understand how the other settings work. There's no other reason the broken FF Doubles time settings are still in place. That or they just don't give a damn, but they've said they do.

This rage post brought to you by another game where my partner quits at the start but I come up 2 minutes short of finishing the match. Again.

Does anyone know how the BPR rating on Waypoint is calculated? Is that linked to Trueskill or matchmaking in any way.
Afaik they haven't explained it any more than:
"Battle Proficiency Rating (BPR) is a number between 1 and 100 representing a player’s overall skill in Halo: Reach’s Multiplayer mode. This rating tracks your Kills, Wins, Assists, Deaths, and Betrayals across all matches played. You must play at least 10 Invasion, Arena or Competitive games for this number to be calculated."

No, I don't believe it influences matchmaking.

To anyone that is currently working in development of Halo 4:

Has there been any thought of including a "surrender" option in multiplayer? An option that comes up if more than half of your own team quits out, you will then get this option to end the game quicker without having to play hide n seek for 10 minutes.

Instead of the filtering multiplayer system where players are just subbed in, would this be a more adequate solution rather than just switching the whole style of "Halo" to every other FPS game that's out there? I hate being in BTB games in Reach where it's 8v2 or 8v3 and you're just bored out of your skull. You'd rather just end the game to play something more interesting and fun.

Bungie was talking about this in one of their podcasts before Reach was released. A shame it didn't end up being in the game.

I don't think 343 is going to add it to Halo 4 since there is going to be join-in-progress. If that system actually works, games wouldn't be empty for long and surrendering wouldn't be necessary.

vvvvvv Nope, I like to do that too. It's awesome to troll the enemy team like that :p

When I'm down by 20 points, I get bored. But when it's 1v3, I love seeing if I could hold my own. Is that just a me thing?

Yeah I like to do that too, but personally I'd rather have nicely matched, filled games.
The only reason we can sometimes hold our own 3v1 is because we are not matched properly against other players.

SWAT boardwalk and Sniper boardwalk are great, tense and interesting uses of the long sight line.

Very true.
It is nice to have completely unique maps that serve a specific type of gameplay, as long as you have more than 7 other unique maps :)

i think its a really fun map actually, but i say its not a very good map because most of it goes unused. also, camo snipers hiding amonst the trees.

Why would I be bragging about being Gold? That's like bragging about having a 40 in Halo 3.

Because you and Kyle have reached your Apex.

I really felt like from day 1 with their lack of updates on FF, they didn't really care and it wouldn't be returning in 4. Not that I'm mad about any of it.

My favorite Reach symmetrical maps are Powerhouse and Boardwalk, for that reason.

Symmetry, how does it work?

Could be. But like I said it would be an option. If that is how you like to play, then so be it. I think most people would choose to click the option and end the game though. It would also have to factor in by how many points you're losing the game as well. Maybe 40-50%? That way if have your team quits you end up gaining the lead and then just immediately end the game.

It wouldn't work like that.

You could say that about all the maps. Seems that every map in Reach has that one area that everyone congregates. I think that's the one flaw of most of them being ripped from Campaign. That would in fact be the one reason that while I love the maps they should not have been ripped from campaign.

Those that were made for map packs I feel blow the defaults away for that very reason. They were designed around the MP. The only flaw to those is the shitty weapon spawns.
