Got a game in H2 Classic but half way through it went to black screen and said something about host migration, and then it kicked me out. Also, is anyone hearing the bomb arming sound effect in the map loading screen for matchmaking?

So everything installed except the halo 5 beta which is stuck at 81%. The game will not allow me to play any multiplayer because of this. Am I going to have to completely reinstall the game? :(

I know, but Bungie products feel cohesive and consistent. It's okay to have some outside help for smaller tasks, but it seems like MCC was just built by multiple studios putting their work together.

Well you are comparing the work on 1 game vs. work on 4 games now.

Man last night was night not a good experience playing MCC. Matchmaking wouldn't work. Try custom games, my friends can't connect. Fuck it. I will try Halo CE.

Then

Play Halo CE.
Find Terminal.
Press play.
Wtf I have to download the Halo channel.
Get it downloaded.
Try to watch video.
Hangs for 60 mins.
Crashes.
Fuck Everything.

You would think 343 would want to be as detailed as possible when talking about deploy times for these patches. This is the kind of stuff that can cause frustration going forward.

Updates rollout for servers... Kinda hard to be specific about something out of your control.

Bug Report: There are SMG/AR starts in matchmaking. In 2014.

Bug Report: The people I am matchmade pick AR/SMG starts over Team BR's or Classic Slayer on Halo CE

In all seriousness its very annoying that when you finally do get a game you have to play that SMG/AR start garbage.

How do you people not vote for Team BR's on warlock. HOW. HOW IS AR's ON ASSEMBLY BETTER.

I finished Halo 2 this morning, and plan on starting up Halo 3 tomorrow.

Complaints regarding Halo 2 Anniversary:
  • I hated the new soundtrack, especially the song they used to replace that awesome guitar solo when you hop in the banshee as the Arbiter and you're searching for the Heretic.
  • There were a lot of problems with the music looping, or just the wrong song playing altogether.
  • Terminals are broken as usual.
  • Framerate. Yeah.
  • A couple cutscenes didn't really make sense, like something was cut from the beginning and/or end.
  • Some Anniversary models don't match up with the classic models, meaning there's still a lot of invisible walls you might accidentally shoot.

Overall I think they pulled the remastered feel a lot better than they did with Halo: CE, and I'm always a fan of Blur's CG work. They pulled off a more appealing artstyle, and definitely captured the lighting better than they did in CE as well.

This is arguably the biggest release for not only 343 but the Xbox One. I will admit I do not know the intracies of patching, but you would think with the amount of people going nuts they would be trying to nail it down to a minute.

The game gets very framey in local, the best example so far is The Silent Cartographer. Even in solo there's a fairly noticeable chug in that level, and also in cutscenes.

What about turning the classic mode on for co-op? It may solve the frame rate problems.

Uggghh.... played Halo3 for a little bit last night. Weapons still sound super empty/weak just like they did on 360
Imagine a Halo game where the gun SFX were done by DICE (0___0)

About the music, if you go to the mission selection and then go to settings you can change the remastered sound track to the original one. :)

Does that fix the noticeable volume difference as well? Whenever I would switch from the Anniversary to Classic, it would always sound a lot more quiet.

I miss the Incubus tracks too :(

I assume they're working on the matchmaking/party issues at the moment? No longer working it seems (working as much as it ever did at least)

Just got a message in game saying that they're rolling out the sever update.

Edit: just found a match after a minute of searching. Hopefully this continues and isn't just good luck.

So I've been playing through CE on legendary solo and all I have to say is fuck those Elites. Bastards dodge, dive and duck all over the place when their shields are down. If you don't pop their heads with the pistol immediately you might as well go hide because they will shoot you down while you're trying to take them out. Also, they are pretty damn smart and agile along with the grunts providing covering fire.

How did Bungie go from that AI to Destiny's? Can't comprehend the huge gulf.

The AI is masterful in Halo 1,2 and 3. Absolutely amazing what they accomplished.

Yeah, this game is a lot harder than I remember. I'm struggling (in a good way if that makes sense) playing on Heroic.

Didn't get the memo regarding the 14th Amendment
Is there a way to have multiple campaign saves for a single campaign (co-op and single player, for instance?)? There didn't seem to be a way to save and quit in co-op..

Oddly enough I felt the exact opposite. I kept switching back to classic on Halo CE and going "I can't believe how great this looks" at 1080/60. Only downside was how dark certain parts were. But then the anniversary graphics were super bright in contrast so it was weird.

This is how I felt too. I've only had time to go through the first level but it was so much brighter with the new anniversary graphics. I enjoy those dark bits so it seemed extremely wrong to me having every single light on the ship turned on. Also, the framerate felt much more consistent with the old style so I'll probably be sticking with that. Dips usually don't bother me but I'm feeling them quite heavily; it drives me nuts.
