First match of the day was 2 mins searching 5v5 slayer on blackout, it was beautiful. Now I'm frozen trying to start a CE match. Plz 343 plz just get it working

Despite being given the prime real estate on Amazon the collection continues to fall.

MS screwed up so bad
I hate to say it but by the time this thing is actually up and running which aint going to be next week you guys might not have anyone to play with.

Um, don't all games fall off after release gradually? It's dominated the charts for months. Obviously they screwed up the release but hourly Amazon charts don't really give an accurate picture of how the game performed in sales.

Ran out to GameStop and bought two new XB1 controllers. If I can't get into online matches, I might as well get my roommates in on some split-screen goodness. (besides, I'll be having a rotating group of friends visiting during winter break, and they'd probably like to get in on the action, too.)

I'm on T&R right now. Made it halfway through the ship, perpetually on one bar of health. Legendary AI is godly. Hard to imagine how we got to Destiny AI from here.

For real? That's crazy talk. People who have been fans of halo for 10+ years are not likely to abandon their favorite franchise because of a week's worth of launch issues. Look at all the people who keep trying to play matchmaking even while knowing it doesn't work right now. That's some dedication.

Wait till you get to Halo 2. It's ruthless.

CE Legendary is only REALLY hard at a few parts, imo. For the most part I can push through it smoothly.

They're not the people to worry about. It's the non-hardcore but curious gamer that thought the collection would be a good entry point for them and doesn't read forum updates. Speaking for myself, I'm so partisan with Halo and play it so exclusively that when I give any other game a morsel of interest I am RUTHLESS in deleting that shit off my hard drive if something doesn't work, there's a mechanic I don't like or I'm just bored. If I was casual about Halo and I was confronted with hard crashes, screen freezes, broken lobby systems, interminable match search times, uneven teams and campaign progress not being saved I'd toss that shit in the trash and never give it another chance.

Which is why 343 shot themselves in the foot big time and tarnished the legacy of Halo for newcomers to the series...... it's really sad.

Wow. Nothing like watching TV and seeing some MCC achievements start popping up. Guess they've started fixing the way some of them were not unlocking like they should.

Just had an amazing two matches on Halo 2 Classic. Didn't kick me out of the game or anything. That feeling when you throw a grenade just right and it kills two at once. So perfect.

I played the Halo 2 Anniversary campaign in co-op, probably about half of it anyway, and didn't notice anything dramatic. Or are you talking about versus?

Well was a rank 8, got in a match with three others. Got put on my own team and proceeded to get killed with either the sniper or rockets every time I spawned and then my rank got reset back to 1.

And it's going to keep getting reset until the h2a booting issue is fixed.

That's a fair point. For me, if I spend money on a game and it is all messed up, I'm probably going to check to see if the company is working on fixing their stuff. I'd definitely be upset, but I'm not quick to toss a 60 dollar game away (always trade-in value if not digital though). Now after a week or two of continued issues, then I would start to lose hope and might say screw it. But that persistence alone might put me in a different category than a casual gamer just trying out a random game for the first time.

Heads should roll, IMO. 343 needs new leadership. I mean this abortion of a game has probably cost Microsoft tens of millions of dollars (probably more like 100 million+) in lost revenue in future sales of the MCC, Halo 5, Halo merchandise and Xbox One sales. I thought the XB1 was on a roll this holiday season with Forza Horizon 2, Sunset Overdrive and Halo: MCC, but then the wheels just came off the car with the MCC. I wish it was just a flat tire that could quickly be fixed, but there are just sooo many bugs.

Just think of it as a social playlist until all the other ranks go live.

It's a test. The thing with the resets is weird... It's almost like it is not happening to everyone at the same time.

But I assume if they are resetting and it's not a bug, they are doing it to keep the population high on the hopper. (Due to matchmaking issues)

^^ there is also not that many bugs... Considering the high occurrence of them with the game out in wild... This means it's a loooot easier to isolate and fix. Bugs that show up infrequently (hard to replicate) are more difficult to fix.
