Are you still getting that? They did a number of updates and most people from the Halo Waypoint forum were saying it was fixed. It started working for me Tuesday night.

Did you redeem the card that came in the retail box? That was my mistake early on.
I honestly don't understand their inclusion, from a game design perspective. It's just a time-waster unless you've memorized their placement. In most zones they can kill you, you will have had no line of sight to have seen them, even if you're looking.

Not really, these fucks shoot you the second they see you, and if you don't headshot them, they rarely stagger and will still kill you, lol. No idea how they thought they were fair back in the day.

Yup, a big ol' red "shoot me here" light, really helped on Legemdary. Fairly visible, still a pain in the arse to deal with multiple jackals without getting insta-wrecked.
I actually didn´t expent an undertaking of 4 games mixed together to work perfectly from the start.
True, I did not expect the matchmaking broken, but if thats fixed I am mostly ok.
I know they are still fixing the other issues, and will release regular patches in the coming weeks.

Should arrive in about 2-4 hours.
Melee damages Halo 1 flood. Not very well outside of popcorn, but it's not even close to the same realm as the sniper.

If it makes matchmaking even reasonable, I can deal until the rest of the fixes come. There are people on GAF already saying this is too little too late. How low are attention spans these days that one week later is "too late".

Have you seen all the games that have come out in the last three weeks? It's very realistic to think a lot of people have moved on to something else. A lot of people have gotten refunds for this.

Do you need to be shown forum archives of Bungie.net from launch week when Halo 2 launched without a Team Slayer playlist? It was a total bloodbath over there.
I don't care. I hate the "everything is deathmatch" mindset. make everything objective, make people stop caring about their silly K/D ratios. Make them actually play like teams.

I do agree with that, actually. Objective games do get frustrating to play when you're not with friends because everyone has that fuck-the-objective-kill-everything mentality.

yep. I've had enough of assault games where both bombs sit in their spawns for 5 minutes because everybody is off playing team slayer.

It has nothing to do with attention spans. Public opinions of Halo have been sour since Halo Reach. Halo launched within a window that included Call of Duty, Destiny kicking of a special PvP event. GTAV coming to next gen systems, Dragon Age and Far Cry. If it worked from Day 1 flawlessly a problem wouldn't exist but they forced people to play other things, other things that give people a reason to keep playing.
I'm not saying it's a lost cause but any hype I had to play MCC has completely gone, I enjoyed Halo 2 Anniversary but I'm done with that now and I've got GTAV on pay day and Destiny Iron Banner now. Others will be in the same situation as me.
Solely as a consumer I'm unhappy I spent money to play a Multiplayer that either won't work or when it does work crashes, kicks me from the game or puts me into uneven unfair games with 2 v 5

Assuming the patch works, I don't think it's too late to be honest. The game could very well be in respectable working order pre-black friday and christmas when I think a large chunk of people are going to get the game. Plus the Halo 5 beta is going to draw more eyes to the (hopefully) working condition of MCC.

Yep. A lot of good will rides on this patch being a massive improvement.
Yeah. As frustrating as this whole thing has been I've always known in the back of my mind that the game will be fixed and that the perfect Halo experience they promised is still coming eventually.
It's just been a given for me that I will play this game a ton so I'll just be patiently waiting for them to get things in order. Matchmaking has actually been working reasonably well for me today so I have faith that the patch tonight will makes things a lot better.

That Silent Majority sure loved Halo 4.
I think this has far more to do with other quality releases coming out rather than people disliking halo.

I think it has a lot to do with them disliking Halo 4. They clearly like Halo, look how many played when it came out. And then look at the drop off. Not a lot of them wanted to keep playing Halo 4, that's for damn sure.
I was personally fine with a lot of the stuff in halo 4, though I can see obvious problems with the multiplayer, but even I would have to say that this has to do with how well people liked the game. If you were to claim other quality releases taking people away, then how the hell did halo 3 maintain such a massive population when it came out in 2007 (a year filled to the brim with excellent games).
