Halo The Master Chief Collection |OT| Halo Never Died, It Was Just Missing In Action

on a positive note, i just watched the blur cinematics for H2A back to back.

really the only thing they got right in this game IMO. simply breathtaking and makes me wish we were getting a feature length CGI film.

preferably with the Halo 2 writers, because the prologue dialog is bad.

"I don't trust you"
"no i don't trust you"
"lemme tell you something super obvious because we should trust each other now"

343 pls

So, any guesses on what the 343 compensation that the CS reps for Microsoft were mentioning will be tomorrow? I'm expecting them to move the Halo 5 beta up and try and get our attention on that while they fix MCC fromnthe ground up.

people have more or less been unable to play the game as intended for nearly 2 weeks. anything less than monetary compensation or something related would be unacceptable IMO. there'd be backlash if they went with something in-game like an emblem or simply moving planned content forward, especially one that'd further take attention away from the game.

Theres nothing that they can announce that will make up for this.

It better not be. Moving their next product forward as a way to help us gloss over their current release is probably likely and an obvious move but you can't help but think the people developing that could be pushed onto MCC to help fix that first.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection |OT2| So much of me is wrong, out of place... you might be too late.

Eh, moving people who had no part in a project into it suddenly can create even more issues, the whole too many chefs in the kitchen metaphor. We know the team at 343 is almost exclusively working on 5 while there are some that were over seeing the work done around the world on the MCC.

While I think a monetary reimbursement of $10-$15 could work, I think they'll try and keep it related to Halo. I bring up Halo 5 because as mentioned above, we know 343 has been going hard on Halo 5 and probably have a better overall feel for the condition that the beta is in and could rely on it. I'm not saying it's enough or the right thing for them to do, it's just what I expect. At this point, as another post mentioned, it will be very hard for them to announce something to make up for the condition this game is in.

Aaaaaand finished Halo 2:AE on Heroic!

Overall, I would honestly say that I just might prefer Halo 2's campaign over Halo CE now.... well the Anniversary Edition of it anyway.
Basically the combination of Blur's cinematics, redone sound design (weapons and everything else had actual balls now), and more combat variety put it over the edge for me.
I still ADORE Halo CE, but as I've stated earlier, it's a real pain to go back to after you cleared Silent Cartographer/Assault on Control Room.

Gonna take a break and finish Dead Rising 3/play some TitanFall before I start Halo 3... which I will be playing on Normal this time :)

Damn. So originally when it came to any halo game, I would always use sensitivity 3 for aim. Now with 60fps I was doing horrible until I brought it down to sensitivity 2.

Encountering some weird glitches in single player. For some reason, when playing H2A, my screen is black, I hear the audio but can't see the action. When I press pause, the menu screen comes up and everything is visible again. Reset the game twice and still had this problem. The game was working before the update.

Switch graphics modes.

Yeah happened to me too. Also on the level before High Charity destroying those vehicles with the rocket launcher would hard crash the game.

Bought an Xbox One on CL last Wednesday, the MCC finished installing Thursday nightish and I put in a solid 4-5 hours of multi across several playlists. Didn't have any disconnects, overly long wait times or uneven teams.

Problems solved everybody!

I probably should have thought through that post a bit more before going for it, but I really wasn't trying to suggest everything is magically fixed or that the complaints in this thread aren't valid. It just seems plausible that at least for some people, the MCC is entirely functional.

I'm mostly in jest. Have you been back and tried it today? Say, Big Team Battle?

Welcome to the dark side! And you should play Halo 3 on Heroic imo, Halo 2 Heroic is harder.

343 did say their patch showed statistical improvements.

I mean, they can't be that incompetent.

Based off the anecdotal evidence in this thread, the statistical improvement has probably occurred. A lot more people are able to find games than before patch; but the game is still badly broken in key areas.
