Stumbled across another game breaking bug in the campaign, this time in the mission "343 Guilty Spark" in Halo 1.
So RIGHT after the flood are introduced in the chamber where all the marines die, the game (a) has no audio coming from my weapons and (b) I can't press the home button on my Xbox to go back to my dashboard to record the clip.
There's a bug in Halo 1 CE that literally locks you out of the OS for the Xbox One.
Even the campaign are busted.

You also spawn with BR's there. I'm saying that starting with an SMG is the worst shit in the world.
It would have been cool if theater could be used in CE and Halo 2, but i'm sure that would have took a lot of work.

Just finished Halo 3 and that puts me at 1 2 and 3 done on Legendary solo. Next is 4 but that ones still fresh. Man what a ride.

We all know achievements aren't unlocking, do you think they will unlock once things are fixed?
For example, I played through halo 4 on legendary, no achievement for doing so even though the game shows I have completed each mission on legendary difficulty.
I also noticed it thinks I have only completed 4 levels on my own, pretty annoying

I hope so. I played through H4 on Normal and got the "complete all levels on easy" achievement, but normal says there is one level I didn't finish. And, naturally, I have no idea which level -_-

Got into about 10 matches tonight. Played a bit with a friend. It may have been discussed here before, when we did team slayer and happened to be on the same team it was always the first match of matchmaking. We were on the same team twice one time, but then were split up. Every time we started from scratch in matchmaking it put us on the same team.
Granted we just got lucky it worked tonight. Got into games fairly quickly and were able to join each other. Normally we are doing hard resets, trying to invite from parties, inviting from the matchmaking menu, or just rebooting the game. Still a lot of work to be done in the terms of parties.
Tried the H2A rumble playlist after he left. While I got into a few games pretty fast; man, I just think 10 people on some of the maps they have in there is too many. 10 people on Lockdown is just too many.

Anyone else finding it hard to aim with H3. The aim acceleration is a lot more pronounced. 4 in Halo 3 feels 2x as fast as 5 in H2A

This was always my issue with Halo 3, at least on the multiplayer side. Aiming felt looser and walking speed was just a tad too slow.

You can play campaign. Two things to note:
a) There's some random bugs. I've crashed out to Xbox desktop several times, for example. Also audio dropouts.
b) If you don't finish an entire chapter, when you return to your saved game it restarts at the beginning of the chapter so you have to do the whole thing all over again. This hasn't been fixed yet.
That said I imagine both points will be fixed at some point in the future.
I doubt it. The framerate hasn't been mentioned in any of the 343 communications. And lets face it, if they start reworking core engine things like that they may well break other things.

I just realized that a good portion of MCC copies sold are sitting in wrapping paper awaiting the holidays. If they have the game fixed by then, all those people will be none the wiser to all of our troubles with the game.
Possibly but it's not priority. Matchmaking is first. They've mentioned optimization.
Well in my situation it was because Best Buy didn't want to refund me money, said I have to go through MS to get refund because its their game. Ms told me to go back to best buy and basically I wanted proof from MS saying that Best Buy should be the one giving my money back since its a physical copy.
Yeah that's another thing that there's no proof it could be staged but I just found it odd that they instantly hang up on you. No waiting, they just say "We cannot continue on a recorded call" and hang up.
Also is it true that MS isn't held responsible for the physical copy? I find that odd since they're the ones that publish and release the fn broken mess in the first place. There is a 90 day warranty on the back of the cover itself, and Microsoft Support refuse to honor it. Either way I got my money back from bestbuy and that shit is out of my xbox. Godspeed to all the people holding out on getting a fix, maybe one day I'll return but as of now its a waste of money and you bet your ass I'll be warning everyone against buying this godforsaken piece of shit.

I got in 2 rumble pit matches last night, and both had 11 people in them. 11 person Juggernaut on Lockout was amazing, just total choas the whole time. Rumble matches so fast, it is going to be amazing once the rest of the playlists work that well.

I keep voting for objective in rumble (e.g. Oddball, Juggernaut), but everyone wants to play BR on Stonetown even though it's not team slayer.
Lol the few times I got a match, I used it. Indoctrinate the new folks into old school Halo 2 lol.
H2 PP overcharge is like a god-damned heat-seeking missile lol.
Only problem is I still reflexively find myself wanting to use it to EMP vehicles only to remember that that trick only came into being in H3 and beyond. They REALLY kept H2A multi consistent to OG Halo 2 in that regard, lol.

Has anyone had major issues with Halo 3 multi? My friend always has black screen during those games, where i haven't had a single issue. He usually ends up rage quitting because of it.
Also the letter last night was very disheartening. I know some will not agree with me, but i wish they would just release halo 5 beta, and rework Halo MCC while everyone is playing that, that is, if the beta even works.

Yeah, I agree. I think they are just throwing what will work out there while they scramble to get everything right. It is kinda ruining the experience for me. I can't belive how this game launched, what a shame.
Yes, it's very fun when it works - and that's where the heart break comes in.
It seems they are keeping all the playlists to 10 for testing purposes...it should drop back to 8 eventually when it is fixed...same with slayer playlists
Yeah I agree, nice production value with theater. You can change POV and slow mo. Theater mode allows you to capture the beauty of these games...bullet paths, explosion effects, plasma grenades, etc.

I bought the game release week and played the first level of Halo CE. I refuse to even boot this back up until all of these issues are fixed. I'm not spending another minute on it if I have to worry about broken achievements and failed matchmaking.

This reminds me of people complaining of grenade tags in Gears. I also had a friend who would complain when a sniper was going for body shots instead of head shots because he felt that it was cheap.It's in the game brah
