And why would I want them?
Damn my shit has seriously been downloading for 6 hours. It's at 79%. Xbox games take so fucking long to download man :(

If I have to redownload it at 10:00...ugh don't even want to think about that happening

Since this post my download has gone up 1% lmao.

I hope this shit is downloaded by 10:00. Getting worried

So my friend on the west coast sent me a picture in where his game said "install" but he already has the full game downloaded. I assume that is the glitch that is making everyone reinstall the game????????

Man how the hell have I missed this thread until now. Can someone give me a summary of the last 40 pages? Anything interesting happen? New revelations?

Sorry, I forgot to answer:

The truth is that no one knows. The other games seem to be mostly ok with holding the 60 framerate, other than Halo 4, but CE is apparently the ugly duckling of the bunch as far as performance goes. We don't know why, but them's the breaks.

OK thanks. It seems to run fine in old mode so I'll live but it should be fixed. Its a joke.

At the store? Or it was prompet in a different way?
If so, just tell him to not click on install. And press B to go back to home screen. I believe the game will instally by itself; clicking on that (if on the store) may reinstall his entire game.

The Digital Foundry video showed drops into the 40's when fighting ONE Elite.

I can appreciate *some* issues, but shipping Halo CE like this is kind of a bummer. It's the perfect jump-in point for the collection, and first impressions matter. Perhaps it would have been better to drop the simultaneous engines thing and have a better framerate at least until a patch could be issued.

We all really, really want to play some Halo goodness online, and some are getting a bit upset over some (admittedly annoying) launch issues.

It might be the thing that pops up and says we're getting things ready and that you're too early. If you're seeing that, the preload is ready to go for launch.

I told him not too already, but it's weird because he already has the game downloaded, and it's only 6 PM here. The games not supposed to be out for 3 hours and it's saying to install.

I can't say why for the warthog but the cut scenes have 30 fps animations though camera pans are mostly still 60, same with other animations in halo ce

Yeesh.

Why not just keep the cutscenes at 30, then?

I think that about settles it, I'll start with Halo 2 for the campaign for sure. Ah well.

Me!

It does seem like since CEA (the campaign at least) was heavily optimized on the 360, it seems like the game runs funny because of things done for it there where as with 2 they're using the PC version and tweaking that to make it run better for the Xbox One. It's a bit unfortunate but I hope the team at Saber is working making it run better overall.

Just picture where it says "available on 11/11/14" it instead says "install"

So, it is at the store? Anyway its really kind strange.
But, his tile continue set on"pre-order" and his game is at 59.1Gb?

If thats the case I believe he will be safe not pressing to install yet, and just waiting till it unlocks automatically.

I'm one of those Disc > Digital jerks, but man, getting this game at 9pm versus taking the risk that walmart wont even have it at midnight is really tough.

Check some Gamestops. From what I've heard, they will be selling it at 12am ET nationwide so if you're not on the east coast you could potentially get it early with a physical copy.

So I'm really conflicted. I honestly have no clue what am going to do once this game goes live. Do I play Halo CEA again and make my way upwards to Halo 4, or do I start with Halo 2A to play the new stuff, then go back and do Halo 1, 3, 4.
...But I also want to play multiplayer and look at Forge. Oh the choices.

Yea my friend had his nat type suddently switched to strict too despite being hard wired and everything. Seems like the Xbox Live issues could be causing that? Idk seems odd since it's not an isolated issue. If you haven't you may want to go check that.

That happened to me last week when a few of the services were having issues. I always have Open NAT. When I did the network test, it came up that something was wrong on Xbox Live end. It cleared up an hour later, but at least it tells you it is on their end, which is better than thinking your home network just took a shit. :)

I jumped straight into 2A for the Blur cutscenes and the Terminals at first. I've bounced around since to play more and more.

My plan is: if in any case MP works, play MP.
If not, start on Halo CEA solo Heroic.

Is there a chance that the price of an Xbox One will lower for Christmas? If not, I might just get one now for this.

343 seems to have put out an update for their update so nobody launches into the full game once the regional unlocks lift

I'm in Asia so the game unlocked for me at 12 midnight 10 hours ago, however upon launching the game I was prompted for a 15GB update. I got the prompt even though my preloaded digital copy had been sitting pretty in my xbox for about 3-4 days and instant-on (autoupdates) was enabled. Some have mentioned in this thread that 343 released a second 100MB patch on top of the 15GB patch, which was what my console was downloading on game start. Wasn't too happy about this patch tomfoolery as MP was not installed; I played Halo CE SP for a while and went to bed. When I checked the game in the morning the game had been fully installed though, my console took about perhaps 3-4 hours to download that secondary patch and get everything sorted out.

21 hours later. 80% installed. 28 mpbs (I ran the connection test on the system) this is upsetting.
Download speeds on the XB1 are appalling, there's no other way to put it. I'm been really happy with the console but it sometimes seems like the damn thing's 'net connection is running off a 56k modem. A full day for 15GB is inexcusable; I don't know exactly what was happening with my game install once it unlocked but if it really took 2-3 hours to download that 100MB patch...wow.

Oft hope is born when all is forlorn.
Less than 3hours to go and matchmaking still not working. Why are they doing this? I just dont get it.

this is getting delivered tomorrow while I am at work and I want it to be ready to play when I get home

Does my wife just have to insert the disc for it to install and download the patch, or does she have to launch the game from the dashboard to bring on the patch?

thanks
