Your anecdotal evidence (or mine for that matter) has no bearing on the realities of the situation in terms of the Muslim population of the UK. I assume you live in a major city? If so, you are far more likely to be confronted with different cultures - including both the good and bad aspects of all of them.

I think the end result will be - either Egypt or Jordan will have some military in Gaza, overseeing the area basically controlling it. Because let's be real - between palestinians and Israel, not a sane arab country will side with palestinians for real. Turkey can talk a lot about "common cause", but waging a real war? Not a chance. Though their economy is falling apart and they may try doing some war. But they have their own kurd problem.

I can't see this working out well, given that these countries have the same end goal (eradication of Israel) as Hamas. Though if Egypt was held accountable for the behavior of Hamas and suffered reprisals for every attack launched from Gaza, not sure that would be better. I don't see any other arabic country being able to root out radical islamic ideology from Gaza, unfortunately. Yet these same countries would scream bloody murder if some Christian/Hindu country came in and took over care for these 1 million youths/children. At some point you just gotta call their bluff and expose the rotten core of this situation to everyone.

I don't agree with that. Neither Egypt nor Jordan want to get rid of Israel. 50-60 years ago - maybe. But not anymore. Even Saudi Arabia is not into that either. Even Lebanon does not want that at all. The dynamics of the region changed long time ago. Arab states can talk a lot about the "common cause", but nobody really wants to fight a war with Israel.

It's a very small passage, and it's a very high wall. I doubt it. Also they are 500K already in the south.

Kids now have zero respect. Just ask any teacher you know (I know many who became one from my high school days). And when you go to parties and their teacher friends show up too and you ask them what it's like being a teacher now compared to when we were kids, or similarly you ask all the parents what's its like to be a parent compared to the 80s and 90s, the answers are all 100% similar.

Kids now are assholes with zero respect. And it's tough to punish them because there's chance cops will be called.

My impression has been that in USA schools they teach only american history and for a lot of people world history has begun in 18th century. At least when discussing stuff, I constantly feel from the talking points as if the world history started when USA was founded and before that nothing happened.

TBH in the UK for example, I didn't learn much about it at school. The holocaust was just a general societally known thing, so I picked up things about it growing up.

Battle of Hastings 1066 though??? Yeah, we learned all about that in school. They loved it in the UK.

You shouldn't have to learn about the Holocaust in school to have some basics understanding about it. This is a wider societal change.
