stop admiring people.
Such an edgy response. You are so cool!
you do realize hes a normal joe who gets some incredibly smart people from an incredibly diverse range of professions and backgrounds on for a chat, he's not going to be firing out the smart questions like, hes not an expert in everything
I would think a no.1 podcaster in the world can do a bit more than "normal joe".
We live in a world with unprecedented access to information, but analyzing it critically is proving more difficult by the day.
Yet millions of people were able to do it before the emergence of Internet and the social media - imagine that! Also, this sounds like "both sides", just badly hidden.

It's not his job, the entire reason he became nr 1 is because of this format, he just likes talking to people and is good at it. Everyone he has on is because he would like to talk to them, not be cause someone told him or for some ideological reason.
He definitely does do research beforehand about some specific things he'd like to discuss, but it's not an interview, instead he does very long format conversations; some of his episodes are like 5 hours long, so they tend to wind up talking about things he didn't research as well.

Also nobody is an expert on everything, and he knows that, so why bother pretending to know all about quantum physics, when he can get the guest to explain it?
Being able to fill 3 hours of natural conversation, instead of interview bullet points, and letting a diverse range of people talk is the reason why he's nr 1.

I'm not trying to "both sides" anything.

In the past, educating yourself used to be a long and rigorous process with few people becoming experts, and their opinions were usually respected. Today, it means 20 minutes of googling until you think you understand a topic. That's all I'm saying.

You know the answer to "doesn't know enough"? You educate itself.

I'm no fan of Rogan, but I think the idea that it's easy or effective to just "educate yourself" is somewhat misguided.
We live in a world with unprecedented access to information, but analyzing it critically is proving more difficult by the day.
Instead, people are increasingly likely to just use their own subjective standards to decide what is or is not a thoroughly researched opinion.
The result is a world full of self proclaimed experts, which are often much more dangerous than people who are ignorant about a topic.
Exactly. I'd MUCH rather the humility of "I don't know" rather than finding "experts" who agree with your opinion, who you listen to and then pretend that you're an expert on the subject as well. There needs to be way less of that in the world in the world right now.

I would also be willing to bet there's almost no one in the media who understands this conflict from a military strategy perspective enough to accurately criticize Israel over any of this. Without being a high-ranking member of the IDF, or maybe someone with a military background who dealt with a similar situation (and where you'd even find that, I don't know) you can't "educate yourself" as to what Israel could be doing differently that would reduce civilian casualties without reducing their effectiveness when it comes to fighting Hamas.

I like "I don't know." "I don't know" is humble, realistic, and honest. I also appreciate that he's still talking about the horrific amount of antisemitism that has been revealed lately.

Raise your hand if you're shocked to hear that the UN and agencies are corrupt af.

Which Canada hasn't banned yet for reasons. We're so stupid here.

There's been some movement in another area.

Canada is joining the United States in suspending funding for a UN agency that supports Palestinians, in response to allegations agency staff played a role in the Hamas attack on Israel last October.
Ottawa has ordered a temporary pause on "any additional funding" for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East.

Former prime minister Stephen Harper's Conservative government cut off Canadian funding for UNWRA in 2010, amid allegations it was too closely tied to Hamas.
Funding resumed under the federal Liberals in 2016.

However, a "temporary pause" gives a lot of credence to your thought that "we're so stupid here".

It is nice to see that countries started suspending funding to UNRWA. USA, Canada, Italy etc.
It's only taken these cunts a million fucking years, given that it's been an open secret for several months now. Dickheads. And surely their intelligence agencies would have known about UNRWA's deep links with terrorism far earlier than all this.

True, but the fact that they have started doing that politically something has changed - after all, they did not do that from the very beginning and started to do that only recently.

So the whole world is suspending fundings to Gaza because it’s a terrorist shithole that mismanages all its funds. It only took the genocide of Jews on October 7th to figure it out. Disgusting.

It should be dissolved and let the maybe less corrupt UNHCR run the whole thing. No reason for two different rackets for refugees. Not to mention, Palestinians are not really refugees anymore, it's not like the live in tents (well, until the war they started).

I find it difficult to trust any organization related to the UN, frankly.

Countries should spend all the money overseas on their own people. On one hand, governments cry poor they are broke, got to raise taxes and got giant deficits, yet always seem to have endless millions and billions for foreign aid. Makes zero sense.

It's a way to keep the world in a somewhat stable state, as we are a globalist society that gets food, supplies, etc, from all over the world.

Unless you're also advocating for isolationism, so no tech share, no food share, etc. etc.

I think a lot of people outside of those who already know, underestimate what it means for Switzerland to withdraw funding for the UNRWA.

Switzerland (a neutral country) didn't even takes sides in World War 2 so for them to take a side here, just tells you how fucked up it is that humanitarian aid funding is being used for terrorist activities.

Lots of people on Twitter really upset at some Western countries pulling funding from UNRWA. but that's not the issue at all.
The real wonder is why people aren't shocked that mega rich countries like Qatar and Saudi Arabia aren't the leading contributors to the program.

"Pulling essential funding is evil"

if the funding is so essential, why aren't there more demands for the neighboring countries to do more contributions?

Why would SA and Qatar bother contributing money when western countries act like Robin Hood every time there's a global crisis? Might as well sit back and let them pay for everything.

Also, that entire region has some kind of convoluted country A hates country B, but country A like country C. Country B likes country D, but country E hates everyone. Unless someone lives in the area or knows it's history I dont think anyone knows the relations of all of them. It's like when Syria had a big crisis years ago and it seemed European countries were more open arms than middle eastern countries right beside them.

I didn't even know who UNRWA was until the latest articles talking about them.

But to be fair, any kind of charity organization is going to have corruption. When you got oodles of money coming in, youre always going to have some shady shit going on where people pocket the money or spend it where it shouldn't. I dont care if it's United Way, UN, or Christopher's Corner Shop Cancer Contributing Charity.

It all comes down to how much and who the shadiness is going on.

It's like when you see all those crates of food donations being dropped off by trucks and planes and you read articles that a lot of doesn't even go to poor people. So who knows where the local leaders do with it. I guess they oppress people throwing it in the garbage or they sell it and bank the money.

American youth is lost. It gets downplayed a lot on here, but I’m sorry that’s a Hamas/Islamist/Jihadi victory.

Best case scenario this is ‘Free Tibet’, which I bet 100 Bison Bucks no 90s kids even know if it happened or not without looking it up.

Worst case, this is a sea change, and the US will not be supporting Israel within 20 years.

How do you fight on this front? Are Israeli operations winning the battle to lose the war? Netanyahu in an interview with Douglas Murray emphasized the importance of US public opinion, as has Peter Hitchens.

If you’re wondering how many “I Stand with Israel” messages are posted in Splatville… keep wondering.

Most of these folks aren’t children. They are danger haired mentally ill folks. It’s a common thing for people actually interested in playing are set to Japan/Asia. You still get teamed up with people with good ping and you don’t see the regressive shit. The amount of literal furry porn and Penises at launch in the us was disgusting.

I play a lot of splatoon, more recently Salmon Run. My nickmake is I<3Israel (since they don't allow actual heart symbols). And I do have the occasional people who lose the match on purpose.

Who cares.

I said it before at some point, but IMO a lot of low brow people will simply support low brow initiatives automatically. It doesn't even matter which side is right or better - Hamas or Israel.

If they think one side is the underdog (Hamas), thats the side they will cheer for. It's due to feeling better about themselves being in the same boat going against the big guy. Not necessarily literally the same situation (land and war), but like a mirror or twin feeling oppressed. For a lot people out there, they will root for the weaker opponent because it just feels better instead of cheering on the richer stronger side, even if the weaker side started it.

It's like sports. everyone sees it all the time. Two teams are playing. And in every crowd of people watching, you'll get some people who dont follow the sport but are in the crowd with friends. They'll typically pick one side.... the underdog team in hopes they beat the stronger favourite, or they pick the most popular team (Tom Brady and Patriots). Its not about which team plays better or deserves it more.

Past days must be cathartic for your people with the ICJ ruling and the UNRWHA destruction. For me, it has been pretty great to see western idiots finally take their brain out of their ass and call a spade a spade.

Just bear in mind there are lots of silent people, like me, around the world, ready to kill their way through swaths of meat if that means yours will get to live. Because in the end, we are together in this.

You'll never walk alone. 🫡

I think there's somewhat of a difference between sports teams and terrorists. I know you know this, but if you support terrorists like you support a sports team than you have a problem.

Very appreciated, but no need to kill anyone. The issue is your silence really. I know majority is on our side, but the silent majority doesn't matter. While she became somewhat of a loon, this is a good Bridgette Gabriel talking about the silent majority:

Lots of intel in the west bank...

'They were humanitarian workers donating blood for a box full of puppies&kittens held by a proud and kind Palestinian kid, and the Nazi Space Jews with Lasers killed them and the box holder' someone somewhere probably. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Well, guess they were so generous they donated ALL of their blood.

We're letting millions of undocumented illegal immigrants into the country and then we act surprised when we have so many terrorist sympathizers living among us. The fall of the west is being fast tracked cause we have so many here who despise us and that is seemingly only rising.

She forgot to mention how the majority of "peaceful" muslims would very happily take away your freedoms and force sharia on you if they had the chance.
