Hearthstone |OT8| Elise's Extremely Irresponsible Field Trip To Un'Goro

Seadevil Stinger seems okay. It makes comboing stuff like Warleader or Coldlight Seer a lot easier. That said I don't really think Warlock is going to start running murlocs again.

Bomb Squad is super interesting. Pretty insane with Evolve and very good against Sylvanas. I think it will see some fringe play.

Remember kids, if you get sense demons from spellslinger, don't play the imps unless you know the spell the other player got, because they might have Sacrificial Pact.

Firebat denied the 12-0 run because of Lightning Storm RNG...

And well Shaman being Shaman. Control Warrior got into fatigue against Shaman, played out Nzoth and STILL lost... LMAO!

Though he probably could've won if he punched Grommash to face.

He likely would have lost anyway with maelstrom portal follow up. At least he got lucky on the 50/50 roll to not get his opponent spellpower totem, which would have been even worse.

I'm shocked at the success streamers are having.
A lot of these generic Shaman players are playing match ups pretty badly specifically against Control Warrior. People like Firebat and Xixo making this match up look bad for Shaman when in fact Shaman does pretty well in the match up IF PLAYED CORRECTLY.

Shamans are all over the Brawl though even though the top players aren't playing Shaman specifically.

Firebat might go 9-3 to 3 straight Shamans in a row.

Feels bad man.

Also is it me or does this Brawl also have an Arena like match making system? Like it seems the skill increases at higher ranks like Arena.

I assume it tries to match you with decks that have a similar win total as yours. That would explain why Firebat is running into a wall of Shamans at 9+ wins.

I guess they match you with an opponent with same number of wins ( maybe losses as well?). I also noticed, one of the messages in that "searching opponent" window says, they are trying to find a better match this time, because of the higher stake, therefore it may take longer.

And then Kibler loses to a tempo mage who had great draws while he had garbage in his hand, lol

Anyone known broken 12 wins yet?

Seems it gets ridiculous hard at the high end.

Ok Chessdude got 12 wins with Freeze mage, there's a whole list on Reddit.

awww not like this kibler...

I loved that deck he had, I wish I could make it but I need more cards.

I can only imagine how good this deck will become once MSoG hits

Even watching Heroic Brawl isn't much fun.

Yeah it will be a lot more fun at the start of the MSG meta or if Shaman was nerfed a little harder.

Still excited to watch today and tomorrow until I move on to some other cool stuff happening this week.

Kolento has been pretty entertaining to watch. Maybe I should ladder some with maly druid.

I'm probably not doing a brawl myself, but if I do it'll be later in the week. The reason is simple, I don't need packs right now so I'd be going for the experience or for the gold legends. Not likely to get gold legends, I barely play top decks lately. And the experience is too similar to ladder to me, I don't care enough about the competitive aspect.

You're betting against the house with this Brawl. Something like 80% or more of the people entering the brawl would be better served using gold on packs or arena. That's why I am not touching it.

Seeing the performance of top players, even 99% of players are better off using their gold somewhere else.

I said 80% of players entering the brawl were basically going to lose. Just having the gold and the cajones necessary to enter means the competition is going to be fierce and mostly feature people who are higher skilled. So you're competing to be in the top 20% of a high skill pool. So yeah, probably 99% of players should avoid.

True, but that really isn't the point :D

I mean, sure. Some people walk into a casino with a handful of cash and be like "yeah I'm okay with losing all of this". But there are cheaper ways to be entertained.

Given top win rates of barely 60% in lower stake ranked and a six win break even mark, nobody should be playing this.

You would be better off preordering no mans sky 2

Yeah the Casino analogy seems pretty spot on. Try the Brawl if you are willing to lose your gold, but don't expect to come out ahead.

For some it will be a cheap thrill, for some it will be a waste of gold(or real money) and for a select few it will be a crazy ride with a huge payout.

The decision isn't even close for me: 10 packs of MSG or probably 1-3 packs from this? Easy money to save the gold for later.

All 8500+g that I have saved up is gonna get me some sweet sweet packs.

From the Talan chat bot. Might be more.

I wish Blizzard would give 1 free entry every expansion or something along those lines. I'd love to try the new brawl but no way am I risking 1000g.
