Hercules first trailer

Wow, that ending. Reminds me of the time Beowulf ripped out of the sea monster screaming his own name, minus any shred of irony.

Loved it.

You know what would be awesome a proper Conan The Barbarian Movie, The Rock is the only one that can pull it off.

Looks a little silly, with that liohat...

This is a bad trailer.
It's based on actual depictions of Hercules:

"Okay, let's do Hercules, but let's strip out all the supernatural myth and gods stuff."
"Wait wait, we still have him fighting Cerberus, the Hydra, and a bunch of ridiculously giant monsters. This doesn't make much--hey, where'd Brett go?"

I'm pretty sure one of those scenes in there is straight out of Scorpion King.

Here we go:

This part of the trailer reminds me of:

This part in the Scorpion King. They love Dwayne near fire.

Looks alright. I think the stupid narration in the trailer did more to harm it than help. The action itself looked badass. I've enjoyed just about all the movies with the Rock so hope this will be good too.

Same. Just feels off. Doesn't help that I only see Dwayne Johnson and not Hercules.

First off his name is Rocky(or The Rock to you peasants), second off, he is th most electrifying man in ALL of entertainment. Third, he is actually a good actor so I am sure it will be enjoyable

Greek mythology is pretty silly in general, you know. The skin of the Nemean Lion was epic loot.

Im fully aware, as im a 31 year old man. But, you can make cool trailers, and interesting stories from greek mythology. Looks like a failure of art direction, and it misses the mark of cool that they were desperately trying to hit. Sure, epic loot, but it looks like a bad muppet atop his head. This one bad trailer doesn't represent Greek Mythology, or a persons perception of it. Its just a bad trailer.. which doesn't look like its going in a good direction, as far as even mindless entertainment. (300)

I love the rock, but wish he was part of a more polished production. Looks like baby shit.

edit;

Hell, it reminds me of uh... that mummy he was in. That is a bad thing.

I was super disappointed that Troy didn't use any of the mythology. Really wanted to see gods providing +10 buffs to characters and shit.

Troy looked & felt cheap too... while we are at it. Those sad fighting scenes, forcing those poor men to awkwardly make the gladiator poses. Man, i bet they thought it was going to look so cool.

I thought he dropped the Rock moniker. Anyway I like him for the most part, I think he's actually pretty good in the right roles, but just not feeling it here.

THIS. IS. SPARTA
I. AM. HERCULES!

Gonna go out on a limb and call this a "When it comes to Starz and I'm bored" kinda movie. Which isn't really an insult, there's a lot of movies that are halfway decent I waited a long time to watch (hell, I waited until DKR was on HBO). I actually thought the Scorpion King was a nice, PG-13 Conan-esque romp, and I could see this being about the same kind of thing.
