To HolyBaikal's credit. She was rather well mannered when it came to with transidentity. HB really bucked the outrage trend on that whole subject.

Nice generalization that you think everyone thinks that way. Then again a good chunk of GAF is scared by everything that's not deemed normal and try to do that.

I always liked seeing HB around. GAF is better when it has more goofs. This place is never quite as weird as I want it to be.

This. It's simply not normal to decide to make a new account on steam and stop using your old one because you don't like a game in your library.

To be fair, I think that the option to hide games didn't exist back then. Of course that doesn't guarantee such a meltdown for us, but everyone is different.

It's impressive you put so much effort to understand something you had completely written off...I'm not sure I would've done that.

On a related note, I've recently picked up and played through Ar Tonelico with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised too.

This thread made me have a dream about picking up Ar Tonelico on the PS2 from some weird gaming collector's store in some mall with over priced games. Sadly they didn't have the other game I was looking for Star Ocean: Till the end of time. It was probably for the best though because they wanted $60 for ar tonelico.

Thanks for reading the thread and taking the time out of your day to post back! I really appreciate it. I'm glad you enjoyed Ar Tonelico as well, I thought it was a super fun game, and the first of it's kind for me.

I'm afraid my "thick-skin" has begun to falter and I'm not posting as much anymore. Thread has drained me.

Because there is no point to quote them. If you've read parts of the thread, I did infact reply to others who thought/still think what I did/my obsession is unhealthy and I should seek medical help, I did not shy away from those posts.

The way the thread is going now, it's not something I can handle anymore, sorry. I'm just not that brave or strong.

Wait, which mod did it that way? I know a few mods were once banned members who came back via alts but not that one was lent an account. Unless you mean the story with Dragona lending her account.

So HB bought Saints Row because it's purple, features a woman with guns and yet didn't even look up the achieves or read the first sentence of the damn store page before making the purchase?

Two questions:
  • What kinda financial situation do you have to be in if you allow yourself to just dish out money for a game based on ONE image of advertisement?
  • And what kinda lack of priorities does it take that someone would seriously follow up with a meltdown over this?
I'm just gonna go with trolling on this, because honestly irresponsible purchases like that just make me sad how tight my financial situation is.
