Meh... I don't mean that as an insult because people have different preferences, but I think the people who prefer the second one are usually people who aren't into pure gameplay, and they need the presentation to do most of the work.
The most intense games I've played gameplay wise never had such camera. Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising, Kingdom Hearts (on critical mode), or on a different genre things like Tony Hawk, SSX etc... Or even Furi with a top down camera. All very fast paced games like this, with very intense and skill based gameplay, have a more classical, further away camera, because it what works best to see your surrounding and be in total control.
This second picture really doesn't make me interested at all, I feel like I already know exactly how it will play and it's the type of thing where I would just be bored. If the presentation / scripts is doing all the work, then it's not working for me, I need to be the one that make the games look cool by pulling off crazy stuff, I don't like when the game does it itself.
Does hellblade look more cinematic and immersive? Yes, but does that equals to fun? Not for everyone.
