If he isn't willing to wait for the new CPUs to launch, go with the Gigabyte. It has USB 3 and Sata 3. If the upgrade is for a 1GB GTX 460, he's set. Seems like it may be a 768MB, or SE model. Have him look at some bench marks for his resolution. Even if it is the 768MB model, the 6850 is not worth $73 more.IrishNinja said:

That is not to say I typically have mATX boards though, that's just how it worked out in this build (because I got the board for like $60 back when I picked up my i5-750). i totally meant to crack open my system & take pics for you; speedfan says its got 2 fans about, and i know it came with liquid cooling system but the temps got way, way too hot @ 1 hour of torture test (@ 85 degrees or so), really wondering if i should think about finding an aftermarket cooler like the one tekno put up that'd fit my case & see if i get better results temp wise, again its an SG07 so its tight on space but what do you think my options are?

I am a fellow 800d user. I see one major problem with this case long term: unfortunately the front panel USB ports are 2.0
pretty sure USB 3.0 has a slightly different connector with more pins. meaning to upgrade the front panel to USB 3.0 would require new ports to be installed. and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to get at them :/

Plus it isn't the best when if comes to air cooling. It does the job but there are cases more optimised for air cooling. However, chuck a 360mm rad on the roof and you have a GREAT case. Plus it's a sexy mother fucker.

Don't worry about the pics so much as opening your case to see just what they've built for you, particularly the "custom watercooling." You shouldn't have to buy a new cooler.
