Here's an alternative for you. I'll put my reasoning for changes belowAlright I'm planning on building a gaming PC, but I've never owned one before so I'm not very knowledgable on what brands are the best or what all those numbers and letters are even meant to mean.
I live in UK and my budget is around £900
So I got my friend to help me out and he suggested this.

Any feedback to this? How well will the video card to me? any suggested changes? I'm thinking I might pay a bit more for a higher frame-rate monitor. Other than that I'm not sure. He seemed a little unsure about the motherboard, so what will that get me, I don't think that has wifi on it, so that might be an issue, but I'm not sure.

- The Z170 motherboard is only really needed for overclocking, which you won't be doing with the Core i5-6500, so I dropped that to a B150 and chose a micro-ATX sized one.
- As the motherboard size has gone down, I chose a smaller (and nicer looking) case, and reduced the size of the CPU cooler too to fit. I like having an aftermarket cooler even on a non-overclockable processor as you get quieter operation.
- Doubled the memory to 16GB as there's room in the budget!
- Left the SSD as it is as it's a good choice, swapped the WD for Seagate just to save a few quid - if you prefer WD just get that
- Changed the 1060 for the RX 480 for a few reasons. First, that 1060 is really expensive so we'll save some money. Second, whilst the RX 480 is slightly less powerful, it's still great for 1080p and has an extra 2GB of VRAM. And third...
- I swapped the monitor out for one that performs just as well, is only £2 more expensive and has FreeSync support, which will be great with that RX 480.
- Finally, I dropped in a 500W power supply that's more efficient.
