Thanks, I will check this brand out. Any recommendations for high end of air cooling spectrum?
Also a rather stupid question: do I need to change / add thermal goo when changing my cooling?
I guess Noctua is considered the high end of air cooling, but imo not as much a temp difference against Thermalright.
Noctua do have better customer service, and will provide free clips when there are new Intel/Amd sockets.
Oh yes, you need to clean off the old goo with rubbin alcohol and reapply a new one. Most heatsink will come with a free tube.
But remember to turn on your pc, runs some apps to heat up the cpu before shutting off for removal.
This makes it easier to take out your old heatsink.
