Launching a next gen console after the failer that is XBS the next Xbox is still gonna have to compete against PS5/PS5 PRO with a lower price and GTA6.

I don't know why we still have threads about it tbh. We've known it was this way for a long time. Went into CEX today to get a copy of THPS4 and noticed 1 PS5 on the wall but 3 or 4 XSXs. It's just how it is now.

If Microsoft were 3rd party in 2020 the Series consoles wouldn't have gotten anywhere near 29 million.

Microsoft'a next-gen hardware (if it does go ahead) has a tiny market of 10 million max.

Im glad because I really didnt like Microsoft Xbox leaders vision for the future of gaming and the moves they made this gen.. on the other hand I dont want Sony as the only high end hardware maker (for consoles) ...

What baffles me is that little has changed in xbox ... Phil Spencer is really battling hard with Kathleen Kennedy for the worst ceo of the decade.

The analyst prediction for PS5 sales in 2027 seem reasonable.

The comparative Xbox sales (with were Microsoft's internal estimates) now seem absurd

106.9 million units by 2029 when they're already at 75 million is laughable. It's an average of under 8 million units per year... It's not at all reasonable.

Also IGN says that Sony says they sold 65 million when the real number is 75 million.

I wonder if this was AI generated.

Edit: My guess is this video was recorded in November and for some reason just posted now.

Well, your first party games and reasons to own your console are coming to the competition, so what does Microsoft expect? They should be grateful it's not 20:1 at this rate.

Turns out having good games that people will actually spend money on versus shoving shit out the door to bolster a dying subscription service is the better path forward business wise.
