Facts. My family does have alcoholics in it but myself am a social drinker. I can easily go months without a drink, in fact I prefer collecting liquor more than drinking it lolAlcoholism can't be passed on. I'm not saying this as a way to persuade you to start drinking, but if you're decision not to drink is based on that thought then you might want to rethink it.
I've had some of my best nights and worst nights pissed, but now I can take it or leave it
How do you judge that? Not a gotcha, just curious. What is the 'no'? Especially with loud music. In fact as a bar owner when should you feel people are over the limit if they seem fine after ordering X amount of drinks?
I love drink so not coming from that direction.
Had a missus that was Polish, cousin came over. Wanted to test me, it was a shot of Vodka and a beer each round. Thought he'd show me how Polish drink.
He was fucked up and needed to be nearly carried to his tram stop. After he was I laughed and went home. Had cans of beer in the fridge.
Not my fault, I told him it was stupid.
EDIT: Some people simply have a higher tolerance. As for hangovers that too but only for so long.
How do we judge when someone's had too much? It ain't difficult to see when someone's wasted. As for this -
"It sure ain't 'well that's unhealthy' if you're a bar owner.
$$$"
It sure as fuck is unhealthy. We're a neighborhood bar. The last thing we want is a bad reputation. Or frequent visits from the cops. That would be a sure fire way of losing our license.
Yeah, I was gonna say the OP kind of missed the window. Late teens to early 20s is the time when drinking is fun with no real downside. I honestly can't imagine what it would be like to live through that part of your life without drinking.Man you completely missed out on your 20s and being able to stay up all night with friends and work the day like nothing happened. Guess you can’t miss out if you never tried it?
I've only been drunk twice in my life (I'm 37 y/o btw) and regarding your question...well.. it depends. Sure, you're missing out a lot if you think about alcohol as beverages and cocktails, but beyond that, you're not missing anything.I've made this thread every couple of years on GAF (and maybe the purple place? I forget) and I'm still pretty adamant about not drinking. I feel like I'm missing out on a rich culture, especially since one of my main writing projects is about a bar. I only made it this far because I'm pretty sure alcoholism runs in my family. I also don't really think it's worth the expense and health effects.
What do y'all think?
THIS.You can try some wine at the very least. It's the only one with some actual health benefits and has actual good taste. The rest is just to increase your social points and skills.
Millar??I've never been drunk, though i happily drink when asked.. I've started drinking less though, start to feel pretty average after just a mouthful.. you're not missing out... Drugs too, it's great when you can listen to music everyone else calls drug music and just think it's genius lol
I don't get it but i love your gifMillar??
I felt this :')Videogames make you lazy, obsessed, skip work, social interactions and family obligations. They are also expensive and very addictive.
I knew a guy who took a sick leave for a new game release and spend his daily job browsing a gaming forum.
Don't do videogames.
For goodness sakes whatever you do, don’t listen to this persons wine recommendations! Awful.I've only been drunk twice in my life (I'm 37 y/o btw) and regarding your question...well.. it depends. Heck, right now, all I drink is a glass of wine on sundays with my lunch and sometimes a single cocktail (there's a gaming bar here in Santiago where I go once every couple of months). Call me boring af, but I think alcohol is just for special ocasions and in very, VERY small quantities.
THIS.
If you live in a place with good wines OP (like Chile, Argentina, California, Spain, France or Italy), try having a glass with the following:
Meat: Merlot
Pasta: Cabernet sauvignon
Fish-seafood: sauvignon blanc
Chicken: Carmenere
Or any combination the waiter may sugest. Red wine, when drank moderately (one or two glasses per-week) actually has health benefits because of the resveratrol present in the red wine, which is anti-oxidant.
Why?For goodness sakes whatever you do, don’t listen to this persons wine recommendations! Awful.
I mean I still did that, just without drinking.Man you completely missed out on your 20s and being able to stay up all night with friends and work the day like nothing happened. Guess you can’t miss out if you never tried it?
I'm trying to get a psilocybin prescription. There are more interesting drugs where I would say many people are missing out on: psychedelics (LSD and Mushrooms)
Im just teasing you....Drink what you want! Why?

M8 I completely f'd up, my attempt at wit was a misfire, I was aiming at another poster who was going on about drinking MillarI don't get it but i love your gif
Just play the latest From Software releases and Zelda releases and you don’t miss much. 5000 hours/year saved!I felt this :')
I know 100% that my life would probably improve vastly if I were to cool it with the games, but holly shit it's difficult to not waste time on it.
Not if you play those games 2500 hours each.Just play the latest From Software releases and Zelda releases and you don’t miss much. 5000 hours/year saved!
